Thanks for proving my point. So do Wal Mart, Amazon, Gamefly and Glyde. Anytime.[QUOTE="Bad-School-Girl"][QUOTE="Bigboi500"] EB Games and Best Buy say hi.Bigboi500
That is a decently valid solution. Not as good as mine, but it's okay. The cost to make a game is increasing if people want better games. Â The cost of a flop is everyone losing their jobs. Â A lot of money made from a game goes back into making another game.Â
A big publisher can take on more risk of making a flop by making money from know block buster games.Â
A percent of game sales are lost due to piracy. Â A BIGGER percentage is lost to used game sales. Â The BILLIONS of dollars of profits that Gamestop has made over the years were made with no money going to Developers and Console makers.Â
I think that games will be tied to the account and console, and to play it on another console with out the player loging in will requirer payment in order to transfer the game to the new console it will again be tied to that new account and console. Â THUS, used games will continue but people will have to sale them dirt cheap to Gamestop, a lot cheaper than they are selling now, Â for Gamestop to make a profit.Â

EB Games and Best Buy say hi.Because used-game opponents think Gamestop is the only place to get used games, and $5 cheaper is the only price at which you can get them.

But the second sale does not give the developers money...you realize this, correct?[QUOTE="Bad-School-Girl"][QUOTE="Puckhog04"]
Used games are sold as new first...you realize this, correct? Hence, the game is still sold once where the developers get the money. It's not the same thing as say Piracy. Used games are credited with a sale.

It's the consumers choice what to do with the game once the original sale happens. The devs have no say there. You realize this, correct? I could just as easily sell it to a friend for $20 or so. It's the same principle. Why should Gamestop or others do it...
Okay, go ahead and support the universal flea market of thieves. Oh, whoops, I meant Gamestop. SorryThe average SNES game was 70 USD. Games have gotten cheaper.[QUOTE="Bad-School-Girl"][QUOTE="madsnakehhh"]
No, unless games get cheaper.

I don't care, if games don't get any cheaper, then i want to have the option to buy used games if a console blocks them, then i might not get that particular console.
Have fun only having the Wii-U next gen.[QUOTE="Bad-School-Girl"][QUOTE="Rattlesnake_8"]So then used books, movies, clothes..in fact places like good will should be closed down and anyone that has a garage sale should be locked up.. maybe people cant afford $60 for every new game, and maybe by selling their old game it helps them get money to buy new ones. If you don't like used games, don't buy them. $5 for a new copy? Actually you can get preowned games a LOT cheaper than new copies. I guess your parents buy all your games for you, when you get out into the real world and have bills/rent etc to pay,you will understand that $60 for every game is expensive. Going by the hundreds of replies in all the topics about used games lately, looks like most people don't agree with you.FIipModeHow would you feel if you worked for long hours developing games and then having people essential steal your product? That $60 doesn't seem so bad after all, right? It's not stealing though, so it's fine, it should and will most likely stay in on most consoles. So taking money isn't stealing? Okay
Someone has entitlement issues.I was about to agree with you, and then I remembered I like having rights as a consumer and the ability to do with my property what I please.
Funny how that works.
