Fred Thompson. He is a straight shooter, and a lot like Ronald Reagan.

He was co-chief counsel to the Senate Watergate Committee, and was one of the most important persons that led to the downfall of Nixon. He then later became an actor (was in Days of Thunder *woot*), in 1994 became a Senator for Tennessee after Gore went to be the Vice President and served until 2002, to go back to Hollywood. He is now known for his role in Law and Order. He has not announced his bid for presidency, but probably will because he is right behind Guilaini in the polls for the GOP. Not too shabby especially since he isn't formally running yet.

Here is the wiki page on his political views link. i like everything but his stance on Global Warming.

[QUOTE="BadAndy642"]

Here are the street dates for HD DVD for the rest of the year that are confirmed: link

I count 64.

DSgamer64

That is not many considering some will be on Blu Ray as well, plus Blu Ray gets between 5 and 10new movies every week, whereas HD-DVD does not get more then 5, at least thats what I see at the video stores, there are far more Blu Ray titles on the shelves then HD-DVD by a long shot. At some of the stores I go to, they have at least 100 Blu Ray movies and only about 30 HD-DVD ones, which is the better alternative for selection?

Blu-ray has only 48 titles with dates. link

So what you talkin' about Willis

[QUOTE="computerk2002"]But HD DVD has a nice exclusive feature. Only HD DVD will have adult movies.Runningflame570

Anyone who thinks that matters worth a flip in this day and age is out of the loop in more ways than one..you know, besides the fact its false.

But anyways, HD-DVD is already on its way out, as Blu-Ray prices drop to more reasonable levels its adoption will overtake HD-DVD even more so than it currently does. The things those in the HD-DVD camp never mention is the fact that only Toshiba is selling HD-DVD hardware and that they are artificially lowering prices.

Look at all the facts, market conditions and prior precedent and I truly believe it would be insane to purchase HD-DVD hardware at this point in time. Just can't tell that to most people if I don't want them leveling a complaint with my store manager.

Onkyo will be releasing a HD DVD player this fall, as well as a combo player link.Samsung has announced they will be releasing a Blu-ray/HD DVD combo player in Q4link.

I won't lie,I'm not the best on camera advice, but I have the Nikon L11 link. It takes really good pictures and I like SD cards mainly because you can find a 2GB card for about $25. So for $175 (before tax), its not a bad deal. But you might want to get some other people's advice.

I give it at least 10 years before everything is Blu Ray.

A HD DVD has only about 13GB of space.

The Blu Ray can hold 50GB (I might have seen 75).

So for now, movies will be released on both HD DVD and Blu Ray, but eventually the movies will be too big for conventional DVDs so then it'll be a fight between HD DVD and Blu Ray.

And when the movies get too big for HD DVD, then it will be all Blu Ray.DJ-PRIME90

Get your facts right.

Single layer: DVD- 4.7GB HD DVD- 15GB Blu-ray- 25GB

Double layer: DVD- 8.5GB HD DVD- 30GB Blu-ray- 50GB
