Man, these guys needs medals. All of them. I think the gamer community can easily say that CD Projeckt is just hands down absolutely awesome.
What makes it even more true, is how all the Gamespot comments are all so full of love. We, the gaming community, don't hate. We just hate on stupid things. When DEVs say "we want to put creativity before business" (paraphrased), we, the gaming community, respond with,
I think the whole "connected" thing can be super cool, if done right. Like in Demon Soul's. The subtle interaction with people that isn't intrusive, but rather adds flavour, can be really cool in open world environments.
FarCry 3 was also an interesting example of trials and challenges that were with other players' scores. There are little naunces that I think open-world games like AC can really latch onto.
This is getting really stupid. It's just dumb now. We've gone from the Crusades, to Italian Renaissance, to the American Civil War, to piracy in the New World. It's just getting silly.
This guy is great. He has some awesome things to say about the female protagonists, and I think what he has to say is very, very true. I don't believe we (players) dislike female protagonists, I just think we're more skeptical that they're not going to be as well written or interesting as typical male protagonists - because we've seen, through experience, female protagonists aren't just... always.... there.
