I understand the concern but...doesn't the government and organizations have more important matter to take care of? In the end it's the consumer's responsiblity to choose what games to play or not play, buy or not to buy? I just think that is silly when I see organizations or even the government get in to this when there are more serious issues to deal with....

Well quite. Especially in the US, they need to get there priorities in order.

The ENDLESS HORROR of Video Games > Killing 650 000 civilians in Iraq

I love where their concerns lie.

Paris Hilton > Economy being flushed by the toilet, country losing more than a $million a minute

Condoleeza Rice playing the piano > America giving more money to the Israeli military

You could go on FOREVER...

HEY!

I HAPPEN TO LIVE IN THE US!!!!

But I agree.

Yeah well lucky for you you're not the idiot that runs the joint ! ;)

America is the fattest nation and we will stay that way. Nobody here wants a wii fit , you have people who go out and buy expensive home equipment and gym club membershps and DONT use them. trust me whoever buys a wii fit will only use it once then let it collect dust

Ontain

don't generalize every one. First there are ppl here that want wiifit. I know i do and i'm not even fat.(6'1, 175lb). And i'm sure some ppl are going use wiifit for exercises (probably a lot) because there were ppl that used wiisports for exercise.

It'll be big in nursing homes and for parents with morbidly obese children who are too lazy to discipline their children or offer them more viable alternatives to standing on a pad infront of a television and not losing weight.

[QUOTE="Norg"]i cant believe nintendo made something has dumb has wii fit ....arinya

Dumb?!?! This thing is already selling like hotcakes! People in JP are lining up to get the WiiFit...you and all the Wii haters fail!

Ppl lining up for teh WiiFit

Since when were Japanese consumers known for good taste ?

WiiFit is a silly cash cow and not much more, the cons far outweigh the pro's:

Losing $60 and not losing weight

The "game" already fails.

I don't know what you can get away with here and what you can't, I'm sure you're all mature enough to deal with it.

WiiFit isnt even a GAME, its a diversion and a bad one at that.

You'd burn more calories having sex, or masturbating in most of your cases, than 2 hours labouring through the tedious tasks of WiiFit.

seriouly, there is no reason mgs4 couldnt sell 6 million on its firstday.

the fact is if you have a ps3 now, wich is more than 6 million peopl, you should have it for this game. if any person is going to buy a game for ps3 it should be this game. everyone who bought it at luached, was for mgs4, everyone who has it now should be for mgs4, this will be the biggest ps game in history, and it wont have paid hype like some other game that came out on sep

blue_hazy_basic

That why GOW sold 120+ million on the PS2 right? Look not every one is gonna buy MGS4 (Especially on day one).

this is a diffrent case though, people are looking for a bigg game on ps3 and mgs4 is it. i just staed my opinion, i think if you have a ps3 right now, it shouel be for mgs4, and no ps3 owner should be with out it. im not saying that it will happen just saying thats the way it should be.

ps2 was a diffent case, it had too many good games that people could just shoose from anything. 150 million user base, is why sony is so cocky now

Why are uncharted, R&C, HS (which had a HUGE ad campaign) selling so poorly then?

Exactly. Have any of those even broke past 500 000 ? Regardless, none of the games released for the PS3 have made money - sad state of affairs.

I wonder if Sony will create another blog to spur some kind of "online campaign" for PS3 fans to buy MGS4 on day one... you read it first here, folks...

No game since the launch titles on the PS3 has sold a million as far as I'm aware. If PS3 owners are so starved for games they'd rush out and buy MGS4 day 1 why didn't they buy Uncharted, HS, or R&C in big numbers?

The PS3 has a small install base and many of those people seem to be using primarily as a movie player as games have sold very poorly on it. With a staggered launch (Japan is getting it earlier) as well for MGS there is 0% chance ofit selling a million day 1.

black_awpN1

Motorstorm has sold over a million, and so has Resistence (but thats a launch title)

FUNNY how those are also the only two games to be used as bundles in PAL territories, hmm...

Like Nintendo has included WiiSports and WiiPlay as individual sales, I'm sure sony has done with Resistance and Motorstorm.

Sigh...

I like how people talk about how Jade Raymond was pimped out for doing PR for the game she was the producer of, yet countless male producers do the exact same thing without comment. Classy guys, real classy.

PBSnipes

Indeed, but I DO wonder if any person were sad enough to buy Assassin's Creed because they thought the producer were 'hot'.

She was instrumental to the hype though and there was a bit of egging on on ubisoft's behalf - how many games have upteen 'making of' documentaries like Assassin's Creed had ? What a shame it didn't meet the hype.
