I wish they would have asked if they got rid of the "hit_probability_gd" variable from the weapons. If you've looked into the weapon files you know they have a beautiful ballistics system in place that the hit probability variable shats all over. It's the first thing I edit out before playing any of the Stalker games. New engine so I guess there's hope.

Thanks for the tip! I'm interested, but not sure if I'm $30 worth of interested. That seems a bit steep for a game I'll be taking a chance on. Any more thoughts from those who have played either one of them?

I played the 360 demo and thought it was awful. I saw the new version, Dragon Knight Saga, on sale on Steam and decided to give it a shot after reading up a little on it. I'm glad I gave it a chance. I sunk 72 hours into one play through and enjoyed the vast majority of it. I might play it again as a different class, not sure. It's worthy of a second go around, but 70 hours is a long game and I've got a backlog as long as my leg that I should get through before I start playing games over again.

It's working in the background. Give it time, the installer will launch eventually.

Both are excellent games and you really can't go wrong. If I had to choose one I'd go for Dragon Age simply because of the replayability. Between the different races, classes and origins you simply cannot see all of the content in one trip through the game. I've completed it three times, I'm working on a fourth and I've played several other characters at least through their origins and I'm still seeing new things. Not a lot of new things mind you, but it's still impressive that I'm seeing anything new at all at this point.

Maybe it's just me, but this mod seems pretty difficult. I tried walking from the abbey to the sanctum but I didn't get very far.
A couple of soldiers, their mounts and I were ambushed and promptly killed by a group of three mages. There was just no way I could have survived that fight at level three or so.
Am I to assume that I should level a bit more before wandering too far? If so that's kind of a bummer considering I want to play a mage. All that time spent leveling melee and armor skills seems like a waste. Maybe I should just run for it!

The first thing to check is whether or not your sound card and/or motherboard will output 5.1 from the optical connection. I learned that the hard way. I had my PC connected to my receiver via optical but nothing I did would give me 5.1. After some googling it turned out my Creative sound card (extreme gamer) does not output 5.1 over optical.

Here's what I would do if I were in this situation. Basically, it's a network-wide reset: 1. Make sure the E1000 is set to run in Gateway mode, wireless is set to mixed and the DHCP server is enabled. Turn off any MAC filtering. Make a note of your SSID, password and security type. 2. Reset the WGA54G and the 360 network settings. Make sure they're all set to automatic or DHCP. 3. Turn off all network devices (modem, router, 360, etc.) and leave them off for a few minutes. 4. Turn on the modem only and let it connect to your ISP. The lights on it should indicate when it's connected to the internet. 5. Turn on the E1000 next and let it connect to your modem. It also has lights that will indicate it's ready. 6. Turn on the WGA54G next and enter in the SSID and password. In theory it should connect to your wireless network without issues. 7. Turn on the 360 last and it should be given the correct network information from the WGA54G (I guess?). I've never used a bridge like this before so I'm not sure.

There's no need to buy anything. All of those devices are compatible, they just have to be set up properly. The default mode for the E1000 is mixed, but you never know, maybe your parents changed it to N only. Check to be sure it's wireless is set to mixed.
