[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]It's funny how so much discussion about his level occurred here but no one bothered to report the topic. That's why this rule isn't getting enforced.

Maybe because I'm asking a valid, non-troll question? Let me guess, you're a 360 fanboy who wants to silence me so others of your kind don't wake up?

[QUOTE="Kell_the_Gamer"][QUOTE="BattlefieldFan1"][QUOTE="Kell_the_Gamer"] From your OP I was gonna take your side but now you're starting to appear as just a rabid Microsoft hateboy.

If you're a true gamer, you should hate microsoft for what they've done and what they're going to inspire in future generations. Other companies aren't turning a blind-eye to microsoft's model. They WILL follow it if microsoft wins next-gen. Prepare to buy far fewer games next gen as you're going to have to pay for LIVE fees AND the multiplayer fees of each game you buy.

I don't hate any organized evil entity be religion, corporation, or government. I'm very upset with the direction video games are being taken business wise. I knew DLC was going to be a dreaded addiction way back before it was even starting to be abused. I will not however, hate entities from doing what it is their nature to do. The source of my hatred goes directly to the majority of gamers, especially the informed gamers on websites like this one, that not only buy into these practices, but defend them as well. The source of life and power for these corporations are the people willingly supporting them.

Yes, you're right. I shouldn't hate microsoft. If they can make a buck by ripping off technologically-impaired people by lying that P2P is better than dedicated servers and charge you $60 for a service that costs microsoft next to nothing, then power to them. What I should really hate are the xbox 360 fan boys who aren't really gamers but corporate dicksuckers.

[QUOTE="Innovazero2000"][QUOTE="04dcarraher"] I'm going to be happy if they do what you just said. If they do go along with what you predict, expect Nintendo to beat microsoft by a large margin. Near equal power. Devs program games based on the weakest console, so you'll see next to no difference on either console. As long as any company that doesn't support bullcrap pay2play on laggy P2P network wins, I'll be happy.

I do not think the PS4 will use the best available hardware. It would be too expensive and not sell.

My current rig is 5 years old, so it will be more powerful than that I bet, but once I get myself an i5 2500K CPU and 8gb RAM to go with my 560ti graphics card, the PS4 will probably not match.

Rocker6

Not really. What caused the $600 pricetag of the PS3 was the BD driver and the CELL processor, both of which are dirt cheap. They can use an updated cell and a better bluray driver. SONY can manufacture both of these by themselves to minimize costs plus pay no royalty fees. All they need is a GPU and RAM. If they're using DDR2, then they better pack it with 8 GB. If they're using DDR5 or other high-quality ram, then 2 GB will do. The GPU is a mystery, but SONY can take a small price hit for each console sold, which will lower the price for consumers.

LOL,what is this?

DDR5 RAM???

What?

I believe the former SONY CEO said to expect only a modest power jump. If they decide to pull a wii/kinect bullcrap, I'm going PC next gen.

[QUOTE="spiderluck"][QUOTE="BattlefieldFan1"][QUOTE="spiderluck"] Just how expensive are these ps3 exclusives ...360 DOMINATES software sales all around...are we to believe that ps3 exclusives are so expensive that ps3 fans can only afford a few

Wrong, dumbass. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/09/07/sony-xbox-360-has-more-units-but-software-sells-on-ps3.aspx And the more units is probably because of the RROD fiasco.

Wrong again numbnuts.... www.gamasutra/view/news/33485.....google it...if you know how

Rofl... Did you just google that without reading the title? Analysis: U.S. Software Attach Rates For Xbox 360, PS3 Reveal HD Console Trends U.S. U.S. U.S.

[QUOTE="Miketheman83"][QUOTE="BattlefieldFan1"][QUOTE="Miketheman83"] So people didnt play it but they like it more? Now I get it. Lol

Well, maybe I can let your xbot friends do the talking for me. http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/gears-of-war-3 User score: 7.5 LOL... Yup, gears of war was sold on hype. Outside of that, it's a mediocre game and not even your kind likes it.

All that user score proves is how bitter PS3 fans are, that they go and vote down 360 games.

That's funny, because I read some of the reviews and they seemed to give good reasons why the game was terrible. I suggest you read them before dismissing it as some PS3 fanboy conspiracy. Also, check with a psychiatrist afterwards.

[QUOTE="BattlefieldFan1"][QUOTE="lowe0"]I think you'd see pushback then - consumers will take nickel-and-diming, but only so much. Better to stick to DLC, where there's at least a perception of value.Kell_the_Gamer
And I think it might depend on the corporation. In console industry, Microsoft has a cult-like following like Apple does in the PC industry. You can tell by the way they call mediocre games like shotguns of bore and gaylo the 2nd coming of Christ and buy them in droves. Microsoft might be able to get away with it and so might Activision and maybe EA. I guess it depends on the company.

I seriously doubt that. If you can get away with charging for P2P, you can get away with anything.
