Space Marine. Relic has a much better track record.

Thank you for using common sense and logic (unlike some other people).

Quake III and Quake IV were crap. However, Rage does look quite good. That being said, I think WH40k Space Marine will be better because of the Warhammer universe alone. The Warhammer universe is just awesome and very interesting with a great amount of lore to it. It is extremely unlikely that id Software can think of a better setting than the Warhammer universe. Also, the gameplay for WH40k Space Marine simply looks better than Rage.

I think it will most likely end up like this:

WH40k Space Marine = great graphics, awesome gameplay

Rage = awesome graphics, decent gameplay

I predict a score of 9.0 or higher for WH40k Space Marine.

I predict a score of 8.0 for Rage.

In my opinion, Relic Entertainment is simply a better game developer than id Software.

My my aren't you an adorable troll. Aren't you the same guy saying super meat boy shouldn't get 9.5 and it sucks. You should probably ask employees of Relic. They all will agree id Software are better developers than them.

You are the troll buddy. Following my threads and posting about off-topic games such as Super Meat Crap.

And why on earth would Relic ever say that id Software is a better developer than them, unless they were joking? Relic has better titles, a better track record, and is simply a better developer than id Software. id Software is living off the glory of some old shooters which weren't even that great when they were released. Quake 3 Arena was junk compared to Unreal Tournament (which was popular at the same time period). id Software games are notorious for being EXTREMELY SHALLOW. That being said, Rage does look better than id Software's previous releases but not quite as good as WH40k Space Marine. And the advertisements for Rage have been completely idiotic. That alone makes me not want to buy the game (but I admit that I may buy it eventually). At least Relic is doing serious no-nonsense advertisements for WH40k Space Marine, and not trying to be "hip" and "trendy" about it. Rage advertisements so far are extremely cheesy. And no matter what anyone says, WH40k Space Marine looks a lot more original in terms of theme and gameplay mechanics than Rage.

Would MUCH rather they have covered something like the Inquisition rather than the generic Ultramines. Even sticking with Marines, the Horus Heresy would have been a good backdrop, maybe even covering Istvaan or something.

Orcs and Ultramarines are the two most generic parts of WH40K.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The Warhammer universe was created back in 1983 and is VERY ORIGINAL.

Wouldn't be surprised if it gets a 7 or less. Relic makes RTSs. When they tried to make another type of game, they fell flat on their faces.

WH40k Space Marine looks awesome! The gameplay videos on YouTube prove it. Therefore, your criticism against Relic isn't legitimate.

Yeah it definitely seems that they've got the basic mechanics down well enough to make a decent game. It will all be a question of pacing and variation at this point really which i believe could basically make or break the game.

Remember, this is Relic we are talking about. They will do an awesome job like always.

Well I guess the new fad on Gamespot is to pretend that games with 1980s graphics are really cool. Just another stupid fad that will soon pass.

U mad? I think you mad. Anyway the topic should be locked due to the OP being a obvious troll. Wrong facts, thinks graphics = art style and he repeat the some thing over and over again.

What's with this new "u mad" crap? Is that some kind of new cheesy high school lingo?
