Well, there are allot of things why people are looking forward to Mass Effect. To keep it brief:

• It's a science fiction shooter RPG
• It takes place in the universe on multiple planets
• You can explore over 100 planets
• Suppose to have a very engaging and fleshed out storyline
• It has advanced character and weapon customization
• It has memorable characters with each their own persona
• It has a new and improved dialogue system making you able to choose to give responses the way you want
• Many look at Mass Effect like it is an improved alterned KOTOR
• Suppose to be 20-40 hours main story depending on play and very replayable

Is the combat equally as boring on all 100 planets? YAY!!!!

the thing is....its good for an RPG in a sence...but its not so good for a shooter as a whole...

I really dont understand why either...it just looks clunky and unintresting....other games have blended together shooter and RPG elements pretty well...like STALKER, and Dues Ex...

Clunky and uninteresting are good words to describe ME's combat. IMO, the combat also just look badly designed and boring. I was thinking about preordering this game until I saw videos of the combat, and that changed my mind in a hurry.

I can't understand why people like turn-based RPG video games so much. IMO, they are just so boring. Why not just play chess instead? I don't get it.

On the other hand, action RPGs are often great games that are a lot of fun to play.

Not at all. If anything, out of any AAA-hyped game, it's the one least guaranteed to get AAA.

I would say out of all the AAA-hyped games, AC is the one most likely to get AAA.
