I think in some cases it's totally worth it, though I usually don't purchase many myself. A good example of a collector's edition that was worth it was FFXIII-2's North American "Limited Edition"...which, for concept artwork, the game, soundtrack, and beautiful case, was only $80. The game itself was $60 and normally the soundtrack is about $30 on release, so I actually saved money while getting more. Hopefully the same goes for LR:FFXIII.
It's so depressing to see greater games be overlooked by the continued COD series...which, at this point, has descended into a bit of an embarrassment.
@DiamondDM13 I love my Xbox to death for its awesome indie community and overall experience, but I think it's a given that PS3 simply has the best exclusives. Screw Halo. PS3 has Journey, SotC, ICO, Last of Us, Uncharted, etc.
Anyways, I just wish Microsoft would focus on what made the Xbox in the first place - the gaming. Now it seems they're trying to market the Xbox as some sort of media outlet that I can find on my computer just as easily. Just give me my quality gaming, please!
