Who's a daddy now?!

Hey everyone,

I've not been very active on the spot lately, due to the fact that I became father of a beautiful daughter named Lela!

She's been born the 8th of January, and mother and daughter are doing well!

Anyway, I had a week off, so I had the time to get used being a careful father, but lately, I also picked up my controller again.

Here are some gaming-thoughts..

-Forza motorsport 3 is still a great racer to play!

-Shadow complex is one of the better arcadegames om x360. Now it costs you 800 points, and they are really worth it. Maybe I write a review soon, maybe not, but consider this game to be graded 8.5-9!

-My most recent review said it. Electroplankton is not my "game"...

-Today I bought a copy of Lost: via Domus. I'm a big Lost-fan, so when I saw this with a budget price of only € 10, I had to give it a try. So far, a bit on the boring side, but I'll give it a chance..

That's it for now!

My Forza 3 review

Hey everybody,

If you like, check out my review of Forza Motorsport 3. I really enjoy the game, and recommend it to anybody who is a racing fan, casual and hardcore!

Forrrza!

well, in my previous blog I posted that I doubted between 2 racers, Shift and Forza 3. I made the decision, I chose orza 3. And I guess I'm glad I did it! The game is truly a hardcore racing-sim, I miss some good damage models, weather effects, crashes, but that is a very minor critic compared to all the stuff F3 has to offer.

It's great, you may expect a positive review here soon...

*steps in his new porsche Boxter to race another lap* :P

Choices...

I don't know.. don't know which game to choose. Recently, I bought Fifa 10, it was a no-brainer to choose this one above pro evo soccer 10. But now, I'm stuck with choosing a new race game..

Forza 3 or Need for Speed: shift

I played Forza 2 and while I think it was a brilliant race game, it seemed a bit overwhelming to me, because I'm not that hardcore in tuning and chipping my car and all the options and stuff..

The first trailer of Shift completelyblew me away. I downloaded the demo and it really impressed me. I also downloaded the demo of Forza 3, and I was equally enthousiastic.

As I said, I'm not a hardcore racer, so for that part I think I should choose Shift. However, Forza has 400 cars to offer, with many tuning and painting options (I want that decepticon sticker on MY car!!!).

Shift "only" has 40-50 cars, and as far as I know of, not many tuning/ painting options..

Does anybody has experience with Nfs: shift? I really need some help and advice on this...

Thanx in advance..

So I downloaded the fifa 10 demo today..

And it played very well indeed: Some things I noticed:

-Keepers punch the ball more often instead of catching

- Long pass looks more realistic, with a little less altitude

-360degree dribbling works fine, a great improvement

-More animation from players

-Harder to shoot.

And of course, thetransfers that are made this summer. I guess this will be the next game for me. Anyone thinking about getting this one?

My broken NES & a new review

Today I have a day off, and I wanted to play on my NES, which I bought second-handed from ebay.

But what a disappointment: It is malfunctioning. All I can see is the red light blinking, and none of my games work on it...

Anybody with a NES know about this problem?

Well, as I have a hole in my free time, I made a new review, I hope you'll enjoy reading...

Review Artstyle: Pictobits

I think I never used the word "block" as much as I did in myreview for pictobits. But I liked this neat little game, and that's the most important. GS does not allow me to use a hyperlink with the word "style" in it, so please read the review on my homepage if you like.

Welcome back, Nintendo

Well, I guess Nintendo and I have a love/ hate relation. I have my own nintendo closet in my attic, and on the other hand I despise the new nintendo with it's quest for casual dominance and over the top innovation. But when I saw the latest haldheld hardware, the DSi, and hearing my wife saying she actually wanted to play games like professer layton and the curious village, I (we) had to get the dsi.

I must say it is a beautiful device, very slick, with neat options. I also bought the game Henry Hatsworth, too easy for me, but I have to share my ds with my wife this time, so I have not the absolute privilege anymore to choose the games.

O well, guess I will be looking for great games like GTA or chrono trigger soon!

cu..

Another step in life...

Here is something I want to share with you guys.

As I am on the brink of becoming 30, I am aging. Happily married, but something is missing... And something is coming!

I want to announce to you that I will become a father in januari 2010! It is obvious that we are very happy, Yesterday we had our 2nd echography, and the baby's doing alright! It is such a great feeling to see the heartbeat of your unborn child. We're very, very happy, and we are expecting the baby january the 18th, 2010.

Don't worry, next time I'll post another one of my crappy reviews.I just wanted to write this in a blog, it feels so good to write it off..

My geometry wars retro evolved 2 review

I've found a new addiction, it is called "geometry wars". My eyes are red, I have a rough time falling into sleep, and I whistle the soundtrack from time to time. Those are serious symptoms, right? Here is my review!
