@sealsa3 Nintendo won't make something they can't keep doing forever?
I can't believe anyone would say such a thing about the kings of abandonment. They've launched, and forgot about, more peripherals than Sony and Microsoft have ever collectively released.
Well, do you think the price would be that low if digital did not exist? There is a real good chance the competition from digital motivated them to push the price down.
@WCK619 Well, to be fair.. the PS3 can use any usb headset you might already have laying around. I've been using my SOCOM headset with it for years (that's the one that came with the FIRST SOCOM game waaaaay back in the day).
Hell, the amount of money I've saved on Gold Deals of the Week more than pays for the yearly cost of around $40 I've been paying for years. Half price DLC.. ALL the friggin' time? Win. Too bad it's all crappy sports games from EA this week.
It all evens out in the wash. Couldn't care less if they keep it around for the next system.
What went wrong is that Spartan Ops is complete garbage.. that's what. It's a throw away mode that somehow survived into the product release.
Perhaps if they hadn't wasted resources developing this junk, the multiplayer wouldn't be subpar. But you have to wonder if Spartan Ops was developed by a few unpaid interns to begin with, so perhaps that wouldn't have mattered.
The ONLY good thing about Spartan Ops is the CGI movies. The rest of it is feel like you are playing through some kids custom forge maps where he made a few changes here and there and pushed the map out there door.
