All these games mentioned in this thread suck. If you compared 2012-2014 to 1997-2008 then you'd realize how a bunch of crappy indie games that no one besides a few people and mostly critic wanna bes play or kick starter glorified games that back in the day would actually have proper backing to afford appropriate production or some few games that almost for 10 years are still delivering the same game with barely anything new truly kick ass games then you're in denial.
You all make it sound like there's this vast library of games that would take an average person lifetimes to finish all of them, and yet all of you mention the same old stale games that we've been promised for the past 3 years and a couple of games that in general consensus we all think is great but we quickly forget about because lol in reality it's not that great. The fact that we need to keep reminding ourselves whenever one of us forgets or maybe actually realizes how awful games for pc have become that omg we have all these amazing games or, "don't worry, remember that freelancer successor space game we've all been hi5ing each other about for the past 3 years? Ye that'll be our salvation" is quite pathetic.
Look at Gamespot right now, it's console centric. Gamespot used to be focused primarily on PC games, but this is only a reflection of how poor the PC gaming industry has become. Most studios shut down, most devs moved onto other platforms like mobile or consoles, or those that still cling onto whatever vision they think they have come out with trying to get funding via kick starter or just release some awkward indie which I'm sure is fun because the critics give it a 9 but lol I'm probably never going to play it.
Anywhere from early 2000 til 2008 you could barely get through a whole year without playing a game back to back on PC and throughout enjoying it because you sincerely were excited or captivated as you played it. These days it's a lot of waiting for something cool to come out and usually when it does you either don't care or forgive how it doesn't live up to the hype because there's really no alternative.
PC gaming is dead, we can really thank ourselves though for bleeding the devs and studios dry with pirating, I can't blame most of them for moving onto consoles or mobile since they earn a lot more money doing that
