I recall a time when Squaresoft faced bankrupcy and Sony bailed them out and got 5 exclusive Final Fantasy games from it. Sony should outright buy out Atlus now and make it one of their first party developers. That'd be all kinds of awesome.
@supermoc10 Back in the day, when technology wasn't very advanced, and storytelling in games wasn't very developed, it was cool to see games based on stuff like Mortal Kombat, to better realize what the characters are and bring more context to the backstory of the franchise. These days, especially with games like Uncharted, there's more plot development than in the average movie. And the visuals are so gorgeous that they convey everything perfectly. It's completely unnecessary.
They can make it NOT Indiana Jones, by not nuking a refrigerator, and not adding Aliens in it. Seriously though, the Uncharted games are really well written. Instead of wasting their time asking Seth Rogen to write it, they should just write it themselves.
@Lost-to-Apathy If I was commissioned by a transit company to design a subway route map, I wouldn't really care what happens to that map at that point. It's not high art. People don't look at it and go, "My, what a wonderful design." It's a utilitarian design. Frankly, I'd expect the transit company to own the rights to that design anyway.
@richman123 @BiohazardXTREME Yeah, I understand last time, they still wanted more money and from what I've heard, David Hayter actually pitched in some of his own money to get them on board. But after they stiffed him like that, I doubt he'll be doing that. But hey, if Kojima can afford Keiffer Sutherland, surely it's not a problem to get them to do it. Or they could just take the Twin Snakes recordings and use those.
I'm very skeptical. He can do whatever he wants with The Phantom Pain, but MGS1, without David Hayter, wouldn't be MGS1. So if this is going to happen, they better stay true to the original script and bring back as much of the original voice over cast as they can.
