Well it focusses specifically on the world of mafias, triads, smugglers, etc so few punches are pulled in the brutality department. Example: The "Hansel and Gretel" episodes involve paedophilic snuff pr0n. Thankfully the (most of the time) lighthearted approach offsets the visciousness somewhat, and one or two episodes are actually funny, but nevertheless...

Hmm, just watched Black Lagoon (series 1). A rather disturbing reminder of what the criminal world is really like, despite the series' somewhat tongue-in-cheek approach. The episodes involving "Hansel and Gretel" were particularly... disturbing....

Nevertheless, quite a good watch in my opinion :) although the sections where they spoke english almost physically damaged my ears and language centres...

I've decided that Pellet has been a "free man" for too long for me to try and make money off him. I'll never be motivated enough to make a living off writing anyway, so I'd rather let anyone who wants to read my stuff :P

Anyway, Pellet 3:II is here, google-doc'd in order to at least alleviate my syntax issues...

I'm going to be honest here, and you've no doubt noticed, but in depth criticism isn't my thing :P For some inscrutable reason it reminded me of Claymore (perhaps the "rank three" bit along with the high speed fighting involving large swords :P). I like it, hope you write more :P

On a side note, it's best not to use brackets in a fight scene ( "He held his blade (in his right hand) over his left shoulder" ) since that tends to break the pacing somewhat, rather make clear in another fashion which hand he uses. Maybe "His right hand held the blade over his left shoulder as he angled his body to avoid Isonno's strike"

Heh... I loved Fable, and these stories sum it up perfectly and satirically :P

Apparently, one of my cousins (or 2nd cousin, not quite sure), has gotten himself published in Holland. The book (I haven't read it yet but plan on doing so >_> ) is called "Demons: The Titan Clash" by author Chad Van Gessel. This post thusly serves multiple purposes:

a) To encourage you guys to read the book, since even "children's books" can be entertaining (Artemis Fowl, for example ;) ) :P

b) To say what he wrote to me in the copy he sent and apply it to alla yous: "If I can do it, so can you!"

c) To let everyone know that I'm gonna be trying to get Pellet 3 into a novel length book to get published, so don't expect any more chapters up here :P I'll pm chapters to whoever wants them as soon as I write them though, and in the likely event that it is rejected when I do send it in, I'll put it up here.

That's how my life seems to work. I'm forced to use reverse psychology on myself :P
