No C#, ASP.Net, VB.Net, no good games unless wow is your thing, and the mac hardware is expensive compared to windows..
Also the only reason there are more viruses for windows is because that is the majority OS so the wierdos that do such want to do the most damage.
[QUOTE="Bladescorpion"]my psu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 I think it would be good for the 4890, as it is a beefy one.LuminouslightYou could Crossfire 4890's with that ;) .
:) hm... maybe at some point in the future as the mobo supports it too! 1 should be good for now though. Depends on how greedy I get for BF3 and Guild wars 2.
Thanks folks, I appreciate the quick posts! ATI it is!

Hey folks,
I am upgrading to windows 7 and my dad's gcard died so I put my 8600gt in his box. So I am in need of a graphics card at the moment.
Background:
I am not really a pc gamer these days because of some tendonitis in my right wrist caused by tennis injury. I do play some Company of Heroes or L4D, with the occasional BF2 or 2143 or guild wars match on occasion, but mostly console for gaming, programming in C# or Java or forum posting for regular pc activities. I will probably not play PC games regularly until Guild Wars 2 is out.
I am not into SLI or Crossfire.
I was leaning towards nvidia chipset because I like BFG as a company, but after research, I am digging the 4890 and a step away from buying it + a sata hdd from newegg. Though I would gather some more user feedback before I decide on which brand and such or if I should go .
I don't see a need to break the bank on a gcard though, since I am not a hardcore pc gamer these days, which disqualifies the newer ATI and Nvidia chipsets. I think I have played pc 4 times in 6 months vs daily 360/ps3 use.
Thanks!
