Another good point. This whole debate is pointless.

Congratulations on not understanding the basic principles of heredity. You're both winner.

They are capable but who are they going to reproduce with? They are gay

... are you serious? Are you honestly saying that crap?

  1. Closeted folks have kids.
  2. Phenotype and genotype. Read about them.

What a fine understanding of genetics you have, mah boii.

In any event, Lilac brings up a nice point. As a hetero, I have great difficulty picturing myself choosing to go be a homo much like they probably have difficulty seeing themselves behaving as a hetero.

Well, I suppose that testing for gayness could be possible eventually, but something unconsidered here is that even if homosexuality weren't genetic, that doesn't necessarily mean it would be a choice.

im sure that cant be accurate... unless you mean around teh wordl(eg every monarchy in teh world then yeah that seemsa bout right) but theirs no way that the british monarchy gets that much.... belive me if it ever tunred out that the british monarchy was costing us billions they would be out so fast it would be untrue....muppet1010
There really aren't that many monarchies in the world, or at least not that many significant ones. As of the early 90s, there were nearly one and a half billion people "under the English crown" anyhow, so it really doesn't seem too unreasonable to me.

Either way, I can't vouch for the source, personally, but it looked clean.

Just looked into it, folks. Dunno if my source is accurate, as it sounds ridiculous, but it says that 75,000,000 pounds go to the monarchy every year (this comes from all around the world, mind you). I mean, good God, folks! We only pay a few hundred throusand dollars every year to our useless and unelected leader. Sounds like you're getting ripped off even worse than we.

Er, what? To my understanding, every part of the U.K. pays taxes to support the monarchy. Beyond that, the monarchy has only been paying taxes (at least income taxes) for about 15 years or so.

Do "solo-artists" count? Either way:

  • Tom Waits
  • Elliott Smith
  • Woody Guthrie
  • Bob Dylan
  • Frank Zappa
  • Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band
  • Tool
  • Jackson Browne
  • Pink Floyd
  • Chuck Berry
  • John Prine

I'd much rather live in the U.S. than in Europe, at this point. I think I'd do well to retire in Europe, and I eagerly visit every year or so, but there's something distinctly exciting about America that will keep me here while in my youth. We have the best and the worst of the world here, and being such a young country it can't be denied that there will be a lot of turmoil in the near future. In short, there's too much to see for me to reside somewhere else. Beyond that, our country has the finest foundation of any, which works brilliantly at filling me with hope for the future and desire to see how things will turn out for us, no matter how bad they may be sometimes.

As for where I'd move in Europe, I'd probably say Greece or France. I dig Germany and Spain but I hate German law and there's no way in hell I'd pay taxes to a monarch (which obviously rules out the U.K. as well).

Your such an awesome person.

BTW, how do you through a party? Just curious....Def_Jef88

How do you take yourself seriously when correcting grammar?

Either way, this is actually a good question. Why hasn't he been assassinated yet? Whether he has it coming or not, several of our presidents have been capped for less.
