I know this is i'm sure going to be ''BUYER BEWARE'' is what your going to tell me, But the reason why i'm asking about this is if (I Did) Buy a Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. If i did Buy one of theses consoles from a UK based online website.

or

amazon.com.uk

etc.

Would a UK based Xbox 360 after buying it (No matter what model it was Arcade Console or Pro etc)

Would it still play All of the United States games for xbox 360 with out no problems?

And more IMPORTANTLY (Getting to the gest of my main question) Would a UK Xbox 360 play Region2PAL DVD's and also would it play normal United States Dvd's?

Because i wouldn't want to Buy a Xbox 360 or Buy a Playstation 3 from a UK based website and then once it's shipped to me. I then find out that Region 2 PAL DVD's or normal regular United States Dvd's and Xbox 360 games from the United States will not play because i bought a UK based Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 from a UK website. Since i live in the United States.

I'm into horror movies and their is several dvd's on UK based websites that i would love to own and watch. But their in Region 2 PAL DVD Formats. And since i'm looking into getting a new console anyways either a Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 i wanted to ask and see if anybody had any advice.

or Would you suggest i just Buy a Region FREE Dvd Player that will Play all region's of dvd's? (Including Region 2 PAL DVD)

Since i own a normal Sony Dvd Player.

P.S. I'm def def into video games :),this is just something that i was wondering about on the side

I like their variety of movies and quantity. My only complaint is the time it takes to download a movie. It takes way longer on the PSN network than Xbox Live. I hope they improve their speeds soon.williamweaver

What is the average download time to download a movie on Playstation 3 as compared to Streaming a movie on Xbox 360 Live? (If you have used and seen a movie being streamed on Xbox 360 Live)

So i'm just trying to get a good scope on it and overview of it from people that use Playstation 3's Movie downloading service quit a bit for watching movies or burning their own Dvd's onto the hard drive.

I own a Sony Dvd Player (it's a non Blu ray Player) which i still enjoy. But i would eventually like to Buy some (Hard to watcn Dvd's on regular Dvd Players) and watch them on Playstation 3's Blu ray.

Like for instance (Samples)

PHANTASM I-IV (5 DISC SPHERE BOX SET) (LTD EDITION)

and

HELLRAISER PUZZLE BOX (LIMITED EDITION 4 DVD BOX SET)

And most of thoses UK horror movie titles and horror movie box sets on UK websites play in only Region PAL 2 DVD. and on regular normal Dvd Players like i have with the Sony Dvd Player that i have they wouldn't.

you should go to a gamestop or bestbuy where they have ps3's that you can try. i think you will like what you see.

My friend Greg has a Playstation 3 but i don't think he uses all the bells and whistles yet on it. He mostly uses it for his games for Playstation 3 and he is the only one that i know of out of my close friends that have a Playstation 3. He only has three games for it for right now.

After reading various things on Playon. I've read that you are able to use Netflix Service with the Playon software with Playstation 3 (I don't know how it's different then Xbox 360 or how it compares) since i haven't hardly played much of Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 at all,that's what i'm still debating on and trying to choose the Best console for Me. But once you install the Playon software.

1. Do you have to download a media player to be able to use Netflix on Playstation 3 or can you automatically start using the Netflix service for renting movies off of Netflix (For the free trial and for the $30)

2. Do you get access to Netflix's more then 100000 Dvd titles for Playstation 3 or is it less?

I know all consoles have it's Pro's and Con's (For every console) but i'm still trying to figure out which one i wanna Buy and get. And which one i would enjoy more for both Movies + Music and def the video games!. And Blu ray is really appealing to me the more that i think about it and read up on it.
