@soulfulDAGGER: I'd just like to see some fun 4 player local multiplayer games with a bit of meat on them like we had back on the N64 with the likes of GoldenEye 007 and the first few Mario Parties. I still have hope that the ninnies at Ninny will pull through one of these days!
@lostn: So people don't get together any more? That's what made Nintendo great back in the day. You'd get together with your friends and family and sit around and play together. It wasn't an isolated event. You didn't need to have everyone owning the console just to play 4 players. Plus being able to see each others screen added challenge and excitement. Also made camping much much harder.
Ahh well.. times change and so do the trends of majority of the gamers (i mean core... yeah that's it... core gamers) and it's best for business to target them. But that's also a bit silly as mentioned earlier as it's a market that's already well populated my sony and ms, and we know how much Nintendo tends to struggle targetting core gamers.
@groowagon: PS4 and Xbox One still fail to bring to the TV what the N64 did back in the day which is what most of Nintendo's first party games are best at... local 4 player games. Anyone who experienced GoldenEye 64, Mario Kart 64 or Mario Party back in the day can probably testify to this. Nintendo, IMHO, should have relesed a mobile and had that as their portable. Then develop a high end console with better specs rather than gimmicky controllers and perepherals. This is still better than nothing though.
