@Scorpion1813 Big name developers have no clue these days.
The late 90's and early 2000's seemed like a new hit game was being released one after the other. Now it's come to decade old HD remakes because the latest gen of developers are more focused on creating social and freemium games.
ok.. I just had to say it.. though I'm jk. Though both RE and Silent Hill brought something rarely seen to gaming back in the day.. a game that wasn't necessarily fun, but still highly entertaining and strangely enjoyable. To say either of those 2 games suck because the combat is tedious and you are limited on ammo would be sacrilege. Ubisoft maybe didn't hit the ammo quantity sweet spot, or the reviewer maybe didn't do enough looting, though the vibe I get from this review is that the game wasn't the reviewer's 'cup of tea' so he, based on bias, scored it a 4.5.
But I guess anyone who makes there purchasing decisions based on gamespot's review scores is asking for trouble anyway lol
I think this review fails to see and review the game as it is.. a survival horror.
The reviewer complains about lack of ammo and having to use the cricket bat a bit too much, yet if you had more than adequate ammo it would just be another typical FPS with zombies. I sense the reviewer was expecting something more 'fun' but instead got something like the original RE in FPS form and greatly dropped the score as a result.
Many of Gamespot's reviews are sounding rather biased these days.
@SIDEFX1 @CyhortI82 Most of it's true. Been here for 30 years and it's not what it used to be. Spoken to a lot of people that feel exactly the same way too. Australia is hardly a democracy. You just either have views that are inline with changes or you don't. Australia souled out.
