A quick note that THX is a certification. It shows that equipment has met certain minimum standards set by Lucasfilm Ltd. (the parent firm). Not having THX certification does not necessarily indicate lower quality, only that the manufacturer has not filed for THX certification. This can be for any number of reasons, but it usually comes down to cost: You have to pay THX Ltd. for certification and then the use of their brand.
On topic, the general concensus seems to be Klipsch for audio fidelity and Logitech for powerful bass response from these particular models.
Armor Games, Miniclip, AddicitingGames, and about two dozen additional sites offer flash games similar to Newgrounds (and in many cases the same games), but I rarely use any of them. Newgrounds has pretty much anything you could want in a Flash game host.
There are two reasons laptops screens have "horrible" viewing angles and low picture quality:
Poor viewing angles are intentional (or sometimes just encouraged) for privacy purposes. The number one consumer of laptops is businesses, and privacy is a huge concern.
The most expensive part of a laptop (and after the battery, heaviest) is typically the monitor, so it's a natural place to cut costs. Laptop screens are not supposed to be super high-quality: They need to weigh very little, consume as little power as possible, be low-cost, and take up no space.
High-end laptops and desktop replacements have nice screens, but the demand simply isn't there in the mass market due to other priorities.
Don't look at it from a sound quality perspective, since they're both very competent headphones. Consider instead their utility. One is over ear and one is on-ear, meaning the Sennheisers will block out more ambient noise (and let out less noise, as well). The Grados will let your ears breath more, since they're not over-ear, but they leak more sound both in and out. Consider your application, then make a decision.
Consider also that the HD555's are, supposedly, able to be modified to sound like the pricier HD595s, giving you a very good value for the money (though it'll void warranties and returns).
JVC HARX700 (thanks to the sticky) - Good reviews, only downside is no volume control on them. - £33
and
Plantronics Gamecom 367 Headset - Good reviews also. - £18
Theres a bit of a price difference between them both. Does anyone know what the JVC ones are like for gaming?

I owned the predecessor to the JVC HARX700 up until the pleather padding wore out and I bought the Sennheiser HD202s, and I miss them. They had huge drivers and sounded great. JVC headphones tend to give you quite a bit for your money, though I'm sorry I cannot speak specifically to that model. You can take a look at the Amazon reviews and the conversation at Head-Fi. Good luck, I hope you find a pair you like! Boz
[QUOTE="Bozanimal"] I haven't played DNF either, but if anyone asked what I thought I'd tell them that, from everything I've seen, it's terrible. Bozwiouds
YOu can not say it is a terrible game without even playing it. The second hand information can help you make judgements but you can not give an opinion when you have not play the game.
Did you read the preceding paragraphs? If the secondhand information helps me make judgments, it is also helping me formulate an opinion, as a result. Boz
LOL at people bashing the game without playing it.ChubbyGuy40
Oh now, come on, you've never formulated an opinion without first-hand experience? I can tell you all about video cards I've never had installed, cars I've never driven, televisions I've never watched, and speakers I've never heard with references to research and experience conducted by reputable third-parties as well as my own knowledge about how such things operate. You do not have to be a first-hand user to form an opinion about something. I've never owned a Ford Mustang 302 Boss, but it's an awesome car and I might recommend it to the right person. I don't own an NVIDIA HD6850, but it's a great card for budget gamers that I might recommend. You get the idea. Professional game reviews alongside live game video provide sufficient information to formulate an opinion. I haven't played DNF either, but if anyone asked what I thought I'd tell them that, from everything I've seen, it's terrible. Boz
