(For my own personal reference)

So... Football season is underway... and boy oh boy are the Texans a promising team... /sarcasm... The Astros look to be fading out of contention... We better get a bat in the off-season...

As for me personally... Things are going well.. Finished my college applications and just need to revise the essays... Homecoming is around the corner and I have a date!!! ... but there might be some complications... More on that later.. but for now I have a hot date... 8)

It's been a while since I've left a blog post so here goes...

First I'll start with Steve Irwin's death... I loved watching his show and he will be sorely missed to all of those that were/are part of his community..

As for me school is underway for my senior year at high school and I'm taking 2 AP classes plus other advanced courses... I'm currently in the process of filling out college applications and my social life is limited. I haven't been posting too much here but I lurk, and though I may not leave a comment, that doesn't mean I don't care about y'all or haven't read it... (but maybe I don't care... :P) Our school is doing the musical "Oklahoma" and I'm in that so that takes up my after school hours... Homecoming is right around the corner and the window for asking should be open right now... I shouldn't wait too long like last year.. This past weekend I was in a big poker tournament (60 people) and I lost $30 placing 32nd... I had pocket Queens and another guy had pocket Aces... Oh, this was a no limit Texas Hold 'Em tourney... I've been playing Madden a lot whenever I can (which is around Midnight on weekends since my parents want me to focus on school) and I'm loving the franchise mode... On weekday nights I'm playing Advanced Wars Dual Strike on my DS... :) I'm excited for Final Fantasy 3, 5 Advance, and 6 Advance.. :D

So I'm leaving for Dallas in a few hours to visit my sister as she moves into her apartment.. On the way back I am going to visit Texas A&M and take a tour.. I'll be back on Tuesday.. and then school starts Thursday.. :cry:

In other news I got a DS (since my little sister wants a GBA SP) with Metroid Prime: Hunters and Advance Wars: Dual Strike.. I've completed the campaign for AW: DS but there are so many things to unlock.. I tried Metroid Prime but it handles funny for lefties... I know you can reverse the controls but it's still weird... I just went to a friend's B-day party last night.. We kicked off the night with dinner, followed by swimming and fitting 12 people into a 6 person hot tub.. :P Glad I was sitting next to some girls in that one.. :D
We then played poker and after 3 hours or so I came out on top... 8) Some people spent the night but I chose to head home at 1:30 in the morning... Good times and cool new people...

My last entry was not detailed.. but I made it at 1 AM so give me a break... :P

We left home around 9 for what would turn into a 15 hour car ride... :? We drove through Baton Rouge (my birthplace) and continued to a small area Conasauga (spelling) Tenneesse to spend time at my uncle's bed and breakfast...  spent Thursday and Friday there, picked some some rafting shirts.. My personal favorite of the 2 says,"Raft naked, it adds color to your cheeks." and the other says, "The orange (vest) doesn't make you safer, it makes you easier to find." and has a picture of someone being thrown from a raft. From there we left for Suwanee (the College of the South) and met with some more family members (some I'd never met and others I had)... Saw my older sis perform in some orchestra...

Me, a year ago in July... and a new updated pic of me with short hair is coming on the way... We then drove the 15 hour ride back... the first 5 hours I slept next 5 I played on Advanced Wars 2 on my SP.. batteries died and I had to endure my little sister sing to Hillary Duff CDs... then finally we got within the 3 hour mark and I could listen to my iPod the rest of the way.. :) (I need to trade it in... 3 hour battery life ain't cutting it)... Well I've had an Xbox for 2 weeks almost and my impressions:

I purchased and immediatly upon arrival dove into Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind GOTY (Game of the Year) Edition... I've played it for a solid 30 hours or so and I am enjoying doing whatever I want... For those interested in this game and what I'm doing read on if not skip to the big letters... I made a Dark Elf (also known throught the game as Dunmer [awesome name]) who specializes in Long Blades, Heavy Armor, Block, Restoration and Conjuration. Minor skills in Alchemy, Security, and Sneak (plus some others)... Currently at level 24 and pretty far along the main quest.. I'm on the "Third Trial" and haven't tried to find the Cave of the Incarnate. I'm doing some Mage Guild quests, Telvanni House Quests, and I finished the Thieves Guild but am doing the Bal Mograr (Spelling) side quests... I traveled to the 7 Shrines in the Pilgram's Path. END ELDER SCROLLS TALK...

I have also logged about 20 hours into Soul Calibur 2 and have unlocked everything... I played this at a friend's house and after our first match he gave up and said I was too good... :lol: So we played again but I had 4 characters and he had 6... Couldn't over come that... :P

In other news swimming is going fine. Our meet got rained out yesterday which sucked because we were going to win... We were winning after 25 events and then the storm came... But it was still a good time in the social department. In music news I've found some bands that I'm really starting to like a lot. One is Korn.



I never really listened to them but I've grown to some of their songs. The 2nd is 40 Below Summer:




a mix of different flavors of genres from Rock, metal, to jazz, and smooth... These 2 bands are quickly climbing my favorite bands list. :D

Yeah.. I finally got one... $99 plus $10 for a year warranty... I then went and picked up Soul Calibur 2 for $8 and Morrowind GOTY Edition for $20... Spent a good 7 hours yesterday playing it (I bought it around 5 PM was up till about 3 AM.. :P)
Swim Team is going well and I got my SAT scores back... Now it's time to start looking at colleges... Well that's all for now.. Stay Classy... Later

We'll start with the good...
I've been able to bring my grades up.. It's April, so a month of school remains.. :)
Had a choir concert that went well, and then a choir competition where the men's choir did well.. :D
And it's baseball season... Go Astros.. :D

The bad:
Prom is coming up.. >.< There was someone in mind.. but she is dating someone else.. :(

The ugly:
My knee is bothering me and affecting my ability to run.. But that's no big deal...
Last weekend I saw V for Vendetta (great movie) with some friends... It started as a "date" but I then learn she is going out with someone else... Luckily I'm not the only one that ended up going and a friend of mine came along... It was good to have him there, especially after I learn that the girl's boyfriend worked at the movies... It was hard to watch them cuddle and whatnot as we walked to my car where I took her home... I'm feeling down, and I think I need to confront her and tell her and ask her questions... We'll see how that goes... :|

Well the surgery happened around 1:00 PM... I arrived at the hospital at 10:55... Checked in, sat in the waiting room, got called in by the "pre-op" lady... weighed, measured, asked general questions... Sat and waited for another doctor to question me... Finally got that done, went to waiting room and litarelly sat down, just to stand up again because I was called into the waiting room (the on-deck for surgery room)... Got changed out of street clothes into hospital gown... (This next part's for you Shadow_Rose ;)) A doctor started telling me and my parents about what was going to be done... with detail... I felt a little uneasy, but held it off.. The anasthesiologist came in started talking and that's when I lost it... A world of white, and fuzzy noises that were people's voices... I later asked my mom what happened and she filled in my foggy memory... She was holding me, everyone in the room was watching (other patients as well :oops: ) and they brought out a cart, picked me up and moved me over... I started coming out of it as I went down the hall, through doors and past Operating Rooms... Finally arrived in my OR and moved from stretcher to table.. Anasthesiologist asked me some questions to get my mind off the surgery as he gassed me... So I woke up in the recovery room and all was well.. The doctor was able to drop down my testicle so everything is as it should be.. But damn, am I sore... I have to wear a supporter belt thing which feels weird on my.. erm, stuff... And going to the bathroom has a weird feeling with this belt on... I have to wear it for 2 weeks, I mainly have to eat, drink and walk now and everything should be fine... So all is as it should be in my little world... All for now, later... :)
