My little sister has her B-day on Halloween, she will be turning 9 (I feel so old)... I spent Saturday at a friend's house with 6 guys playing some poker, Soul Calibur 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Ping Pong, Billiards, and Ping Pong Billiards Extreme (explain in a minute). I arrived early and found my friend Doug and his friend from Austin, Nick, playing SSBM... I hadn't played in so long... so I lost pretty quickly... Tried my hand at Ping Pong... Lost first game 21-16, and won the 2nd, 25-23... (You have to win by 2 in Ping Pong).. We then switched to Soul Calibur 2... on the Gamecube... I've never played the GC version, so switching the button scheme for Talim and Ivy was a hard transition, but somehow I still owned it up... Finally the rest of the guys came and the poker began... 6 guys + $10 buy in = $30 for 1st, $20 for 2nd, and $10 for 3rd... We started around 5ish, and finished around 9:30... The 3rd hand I took a large pot (around $4000 in chips) so I sat back until it was the last 4 people... Nick came in 4th... Doug came in 3rd, and I was the small stack coming into heads up play... After 20 hands or so I took the chip lead.. Cameron (who had been the chip leader all night) went all in... I called... He had pocket 10s.. I had an Ace and a 9.. Flop comes: King, 9, Queen... Guys are gathering around... teh suspense... The Turn is a King... Everyone thinking or saying.. David needs an Ace to win... River comes a Queen... Giving me 2 pair (Kings and Queens) and causing Cameron to have to use the King and Queen pair, since the 10s are lower, my Ace kicker wins the hand.. 8) WooT!!! After the money was sorted out we played Ping Pong and Billiards Extreme.. Basically it was 4 players, 2 playing Pool, and 2 playing Ping Pong... at the same time on the same table... The other pair of guys won that... But I was able to return a serve and put it in the corner pocket... :P
Today... I slept... Watched the Texans.. Played games...

Well this week is the opening of the school play, "Bye Bye Birdie" rehearsals are killing me, but they are fun. :) The Astros lost a heartbreaker last night.. but I still smell the Fall Classic... I am currently on Green Earth Missions in Advanced Wars 2... I missed the secret mission to get the neotanks, so that makes things that much more difficult.. :evil:
Question on AW2.. If I restart my campaign, will I lose the COs that I unlocked? or will I still get to use them outside of campaign mode?

I find myself starting to listen to different branches of music... I started listening to Nine Inch Nails... and I don't like Kanye West, but his some of his songs speak volumes (Jesus Walks)... I'm drained from play practice today.. and the forums are not loading.. :? *crosses fingers*

I bought Advanced Wars 2 for the GBA.. used and it was only $17.. :D
Nothing was done really, no campaign had been started, minimal war room usage (1 time) and no maps had been bought.. So it's pretty fresh... Astros are doing ok in the playoffs... 1-1 with the series against the Braves... So how have y'all been doing with the week off?

1st I would like to say that.. The homepage looks nice, the new profile page looks good... and I jumped a level while they were making it over.. (Weird)

The level % now shows decimals.. ex: 50.46%

When I go to the community homepage it says I'm lvl 1... (again weird, that just changed when I went to it a 2nd time)

Lots O glitches... but that's expected.. examples: pages don't load, pages don't exist, pages still don't load... you get the picture... Also under my journal under the "My Contributions" it says every entry has 10 comments though if I go to a different page it shows the actual numbers... Typing during posts is a bit laggy... I just posted and it took me to a white background and the only thing I saw were things that were not white.. example: text, sigs, avatars...

I can't go to my friend's page right now... A nice touch is the newest members section.. though that can lead to n00bs handing out friend requests.. :|

The forum users on-line right now counter is wrong, since it shows 0, but I'm on.. All of the threads I checked before the change are now back to bold so I don't know what I've read and what I haven't... Joy

o.O a community spotlight.. a chance for n00bs to find other people... Top unions are still there, though again, it's not always the top people.. since GoG was numero uno when I logged on but are now off of the chart...

The new forum look (not the community page, that's good, but the actual UCB boards) I don't like.. never really did dig that look... These are all first impressions so I haven't dug too deep yet.. Haven't been able to log in either... GS kept reverting to the old homepage...

No ****... school is now in full swing and after a quarter of the year done, I'm ready for halftime...

For those who saw my sig and noticed it said I was "on-line" but wasn't posting, to clarify things, my neighborhood lost cable for about 6+ hours... So I wasn't lurking nor was I ignoring you... Today was clean up day.. So during the hottest part of the day my father and I went to rake/clean/shovel/cut the backyard... That was Hell... We then did the front yard, and then I cleaned the pool... All in 100+ temperatures (of the farenheit variety)... I'm tired, and I've had 2 cans of Dr. Pepper so I'm wired for the night... I have Monday and Tuesday off from school. 8) Rita is over as far as I'm concerned so I don't need anyone's best wishes anymore, give them to the people in NO who got hit, again... :(

Astros lost today, Gallo blew it.. :evil:
Texans didn't play today, so I didn't watch football at all today... :|

Well... I survived... first of all I went a whole day without GS... amazing I know... Rita ended up breaking north earlier than projected so it didn't hit me too hard... I stayed up until 3 AM to watch the storm... I also stepped outside into the howling wind... That was amazing... Just letting everyone know I'm fine, and thank you all for concerns, whether you should them here, or elsewhere, or both... Pool is really messy... Had to clean up lots of things off of the top... Time to go plug everything back in... N64 was first, computer was second... next would be clocks... Thanks again everyone..

Rita hits tomorrow... It's now a category 5... It was supposed to be a 3... Went to school today... It's canceled for tomorrow and Friday... I don't think it will hit Houston directly, but we will probably be hit by the east side of it, which tends to be the worst... I don't think we are leaving, but that could change... I'm expecting power loss, as well as dirty water for a little bit... So just wanted to fill everyone in... in case you've been living in a cave for the past week or something... So I will most likely not be on until next week at the earliest... Talk about withdrawal... :P Threw our porch furniture in the pool... it's now on the bottom... packed the garage with stuff... And I'm packing an emergency bag tonight.. So I will be packing my N64, GBA, iPod, all my games... Poker Chips.. and if I have room, clothes and deodorant... :P
