$500? Almost definitely not, although considering it's now at the point where I'm actually making decent money rather than saving every dime I can or relying on my parents like my earlier days. If it was no more than $400, and there's some really good games for it (or at least a major first party game released), then I can definitely see myself getting it assuming it really is as amazing as I think it will be. At this point, any more than $400 probably work for me, but I can't see it being more than that, so hopefully I won't need to decide.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock also had Bohemian Rhapsody in it, and it came out over a month before RB3 did. Does that make it the best game ever?

It doesn't have arguably the best parts about that song that Rock Band 3 has: vocal harmonies and keyboard.
I don't think that RB 3 is the best game ever, but it's definitely better than Warriors of Rock imo.
I agree. I'm just saying that the TC has a really dumb reason for saying it's a great game. Bohemian Rhapsody is easily my favorite song of all time, but I didn't find it fun on any instrument outside of vocals. Sure, playing piano on that song sounds like it would be epic, but it really was pretty boring. And it's pretty obvious that the other three instrument were just a snoozefest.
People seem to have this notion that a great song musically will automatically mean it's a great song for a rhythm game. I seriously can't wait for Stairway to finally make it into one of these game only for people to find it that's it's one of the most boring songs to play despite the fact that it's awesome to listen to, and I can just yell out a big "I TOLD YOU SO."
Sure, occasionally, we'll get a song like 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago in RB3 that's incredibly musically AND incredibly fun to play, but those songs are rare. Some of my favorite songs to play are actually songs that I would never listen to outside of the game. My favorite GH2 songs to play was Institutionalized, and that song was absolute crap. Through the Fire and Flames in GH3 was insanely fun too, despite it just being just another Dragonforce song. I just wish more people realized that a song being great musically doesn't necessarily means it's fit for a rhythm game.

Gears of War. Both Oblivion and TP were MUCH more fun and deserving of the GOTY title. Gears was released toward the end of the year (when it was still really big) but Oblivion was released much earlier in the year, so the hype really died down for that game when it came for people to choose the GOTY. I can't be the only one who thinks that if the release dates for Oblivion and Gears were switched then Oblivion would have won.
But still, I had more fun with TP than I did with either of the other two.:P
I bought the Wii just for the first party games and it hasn't disappointed me yet. It's a cheap console and I just want the Marios, Zeldas, Metroids, Smash Bros., etc., so I'm not dissappointed. But people with JUST a Wii may feel differently. I also have a 360 for all other games, so I don't mind that some Wii games aren't up to par with their 360/PS3 counterpars.
