Ugh...and outside of a couple of possible responses (such as Chrono Trigger or FFIII), all the Japanese regurgitated same-old-crap-in-a-new-box responses do nothing for me, save scream "IMANOOB".

Edit: Okay, I'll take FF7 as not too noobish. I disagree with it as being best, but I could see how some people might have some very fond memories of it.

I think WRPGS and JRPGS should be taken in completely different context of each other. Both have radically different gameplay experiences, even if both involve leveling up and choosing abilities, etc. It's all a matter of preference, although I do enjoy WRPGS more than JRPGS.

I agree, although I like WRPGs much more then JRPGs these days (I can't name a single JRPG that has caught my attention in the past 5 years) that doesn't make me a noob for liking some older JRPGs that were actually outstanding.

I think we're all on the same page here. WRPGs leave JRPGs in the dust in terms of story and content. There haven't been any recent JRPGs that are worthy of note to me either. Sure, someone can cite FFX as "OMG Best Evar!", but then I can cite that person as having either too little experience to be worth listening to, or having poor taste.

Wait, did the Killzone 2 posters come out yet?

Say whatever you want about the games but they make some awesome posters.

ArcticSnake

Amen to that. If the game's half as good as their promotional stuff, it'll be a hell of a FPS.

Is it legal to string that many A's together?

For that matter, can't we start switching over to "A, B, C, D, and OMGCRAP" instead? Giving a junk game an "A" rating because a really good game merits three "A"s always seemed asinine to me. We're rating video games, not solvency, folks.

Edit: Oh, and more on topic: not a friggin chance. This looks like a mediocre "same old same old" Japanese fantasy RPG title.

BG2, Fallout 1 and 2. These games tie for awesomeness.

Codename33

Good answer. I'd say Fallout 1 edges out the competition, if for nothing else but being first of its kind in awesomeness.

And for having an attribute called "Child Killer". That's just so over-the-top crazy, it speaks for itself.

The answer is obviously "yes", because otherwise sites like Gamespot wouldn't exist. If reviewsdidn't impact sales, publishers wouldn't care to send reviewers copies and other swag, gamers wouldn't read the reviews, and life would go on.

This thread is obvious hand-holding for those whose high-hopes AA and AAA games got trashed recently. Cry some more.

It's obviously Daikatana, as the biggest flop in gaming history, though I'm not sure if SW existed back then.

The poll is biased because most SW posters were too busy watching Sesame Street to remember what a Daikatana was.

I think he ment from last gen...losing to Sony, but thats just me Assuming

sparkypants

No he didn't. He said "the tables are turning...360 degrees". That clearly means a 360 degree turn from the current situation, which just makes him sound like an idiot. I understood what he meant to say, but my point was that in trying to be full of snark, he succeeded only in filling up on fail.

Why are they still playing Halo 2? Because it's a really fun online game thats why. A majority of 360 owners bought their 360 with Halo 3 in mind.

Ragnarok1051

Any proof of this, or are you just talking out of both sides of your mouth?

How can you say "here and now" when the genration isn't over "here and now." Si9mple ignorant answeer to the dumbest question of the day: Yes, PS3 is losing now. But who gives a shshsh?

...

You people don't think Sony knows what they're doing? This is their third console. One after their most successful, record breaking, still selling more than 360 generation. They're doing fine. The tables are turning slowly. And by spring of '08 it will come full circle. That's right, 360.Three hundred and sixty degress back for MS when they sit second fiddle to Sony.

The_Crucible

You do realize that if things go 360 degrees from where they are now, that means that they will change for a time, but ultimately end up right back in the current situation? Which is, by your own admission, would mean that the PS3 would be losing out to the 360?

What you meant to say was 180 degrees, which would mean a total turn around, but clearly you were too interested in being clever rather than being correct.

Self-ownage at its finest!
