The form on MS's website to get a transfer kit asks for an elite serial number as if you're upgrading to an elite system...what if you just buy the 60GB HDD starter pack? I understand it was meant for people with arcade consoles to buy the HDD, but MS is not stupid enough to not realize that people with 20GB drives might want to upgrade too...they should have included a cable in the 60GB package....

Anyways...so has anyone trasnferred data from a 20GB to a 60GB with the transfer cable and does it actually work?

In canada, a new 120gb is 199$ you can get an arcade xbox360 on sale for 197.99$ at wal mart... ladies and gentlemen of this "supposed" jury, this does not MAKE SENSEdRuGGeRnaUt

Where in Canada are you looking? The 120GB drives I see are $159.99 (FS and BB)...it's still a rip off though.

I've been reading elsewhere that people who mod their HDD's may get banned from Live....anybody know if this is true? I don't want to shell out a ton of money for MS's HDD if I can just do the mod install...but I don't want to get banned from Live either....Bulova

Anyone know about this at all?

Whats funny, is that the 360 hard drive is really a laptop hard drive with a plastic shell around it. For $120, you can get 500GB I'm wondering if it's possible to take apart the 360 HDD shell and put in a new laptop HDDInfinite-Zr0

I've heard of the save file corruption problem, but I highly doubt the game caused the RROD...considering RROD is a hardware failure....

I was wondering what the Premium themes look like/are they worth it. I want to get the Rock Band 2 theme but i wasn't sure if it was Worth it. So if anyone has a link to some pics (Or just wants to call me lazy for not looking it up myself) please comment.

thanks for the help.

Just wondering if the texture pop-ins have been reduced.

Reducing noise, heat, and wear and tear on the drive are probably the best reasons for me to upgrade...even if load time's aren't reduced...

The problem I have right now, is I usually have 3-4 games on the go at once...like right now I'm playing Fable 2, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, and GHWT....so I only have one game installed, and I'm not really saving the disc drive...
Guess I'll upgrade when I've got the cash...
