Yes... Someone hacked Xbox Live... And ignored the MILLIONS of accounts and targeted just your buddy... And then apparently spent $400 on 6000 Microsoft points somehow (which is only $75)... Unless you meant he took $400 total and 6000 Microsoft points, to which I would reply, where did they get his credit card information?

As Microsoft stores everyone's credit card information on the same servers, with probably the best security that is available on Earth, digitally mind you... Considering Microsoft is one of the largest software firms in the world, and responsible for a lot of the security that exists... And here we are again at just your friend getting "hacked" while everyone else is just fine and dandy...

Tell your friend not to click the ads on the sides ;)

I don't want to sound like a hipster or anything... But I liked Saints Row before it was cool...

"Part of the reason for the online pass is that when that stuff goes online, it isn't free. We have to pay for servers and all this different stuff to maintain it, and so at some point, you know, games have to make money.

Yea. You silly used game buyers, stop being cheap and making Naughty Dog and the Holy Sony pay for your entertainment. You Freeloaders!!

ShadowDeathX

They are a business, they exist to make money... You want games don't you? Well then they need to turn a profit or there isn't going to be investment/capitol to make the next game...

They are already making a profit, a huge one. They keep asking for more and more and people will give it to them. They aren't going to stop asking until people stop supporting this.

You have no idea what kinds of profits they make... Especially PS3 exclusives which sell terribly when compared to say CoD... I can understand this kind of argument against CoD getting online passes, as when you sell 30,000,000 units, its quite obvious you are making a profit... But a game like Uncharted which only sells a few million units and probably cost just as much to make as a CoD game, the profit is obvious substantially less if it exists at all...

And I don't even see what the issue is here... The pass is included in the price of the game (ie: free) when you buy the game... They exist for one reason and one reason only, to make some form of profit off of used game sales...

When you sell your game and someone else buys it used at Gamestop... No money goes to the developer/publisher at all, period, yet they have now provided two different people access to their servers/storage, etc and moved one less new copy of the game...

Ehhh... I loved ME1, I loved ME2... I was glad when it was announced on PS3 as more people would get to play it (which I am glad about because I want it to do very well so more games like it are released)...

And MGS... I played and disliked MGS4... I am just not a big fan of Japanese stories... I am so far removed from Japanese society that a lot of what goes on in them just rubs me the wrong way... Plus I never played any of the previous MGS games... So I don't really care about this one on either system...

Unlike some of the fangirls around, I don't really care what games come out on what console... I will have both PSwhatever and Xboxwhatever until pretty much forever so I don't care...

Which company will be next to unveil their newest system in your opinion.

Inconsistancy

Microsoft.

Sony is on loss out of PS3 as we speak. They need to fill the loss gap as much as possible. Not that they wont end with losses out of PS3 this gen but at least earn something back.

Are they really at a loss? Software sales subsidise hardware, or are they really just keeping a division that's hemorrhaging $?

That would be all fine and good if PS3 exclusives sold well, but they don't when compared to say 360 exclusives or multiplats...

Gears of War 3: 3,000,000+ units its first week:

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gamehunters/post/2011/09/gears-of-war-3-tops-3-million-in-sales-in-first-week/1

Uncharted 2: 3,000,000+ units 5 months after release:

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/106/1068958p1.html

-------------

I'm not bashing PS3... I buy all the exclusives and think they are great games and I can't wait for Uncharted 3... But their exclusives just don't sell... Hell didn't Resistance 3 just come out with released week one figures of like 200,000 units?

I was pretty attached to my 360, mostly because I got it at launch and it was the first console I ever did that with... It was really enthralling... I didn't even use my PS3 the first year I got it much at all because of my 360...

I am getting pretty attached to my PC now though... Damn MMOs and Steam.

The US military has been acting in films for a long time now. The movie The Hindenburg was filmed at Tustin MCAS(H) and used active duty Marines as extras. Many a movie has had US Navy ships used in them and they are manned by active duty crews. Who do you think flew the F-14s in Top Gun? It wasn't Tom Cruise or Val Kilmer.

WhiteKnight77

I did not say actors did all of the "stuff" in military films, such as driving tanks or flying and the likes... But I have always assumed such footage came from the military simply allowing filming during exercises or something of that sort... I didn't know they permitted active duty personel, SEALs for that matter, to simply go be in movies while on duty...

^ A trailer for a movie.

"Starring active duty Navy SEALs"

?

There isn't some kind of policy in the military against this? I am not against it myself, as I enjoy military films... But the Navy and Department of Defense are allowing this kind of thing?

Just curious as some of the pages I have seen about who is in it and stuff say "Active duty Navy SEALs, actor, actor, actor, etc"... Not to mention false advertising is kind of illegal here (no idea if this would even fall under that)...
