This may be the best post in the thread. :) :) I'm glad somebody noticed my attempt at making a funny. I got worried for a second there LOL. Anyway I'm really pumped for both Forza 4 and GT5 Spec 2.0 although I think Spec 2.0 might have to wait a while as Forza 4 will be keeping me busy. Btw I'm still in need of rivals for the demo if anyone wants to add me my GT is CAINIAC. I'm in the top 1% for each of the events so I may be a good challenge for some people here although I doubt I'm the fastest . It would also be nice to already have a friends list full of people playing the game when it comes out on tuesday. I race clean so you don't gotta worry about any messy stuff with me on the track. So if you also like racing clean send that friend request my way. :)
pretty disappointing that they didnt even put night time racing or weather effects... some of my favourite driving experiences is driving at night in the rain on the special stage trackscampzor
Yeah night racing is great -especially on the Nurburgring- and weather effects can be fun too. I'm willing to give Turn 10 a pass this one last time but if Turn 10 doesn't incorporate day/night racing and weather effect in Forza 5 then we will have a real problem!
Seems like I'm one of the few to not be suprised by the score it got here. I had a feeling it was more likely to score 8.5 as opposed to scoring another 9.5 or even a 9.0. I mean Forza 3 only came out 2 years ago and while Forza 4 made a lot of improvements and is without a doubt the best game in the series to date I can understand the deja vu/familiarity criticism the GS reviewer mentioned. Out of 22 track locales only 5 are new and I'd imagine a decent number of cars make a reappearance as well. Its kinda similar to what happened with GT5 although perhaps not as bad. It also made improvements to the series but it reused a lot of older content like hi res Ps2 cars and tracks. At least the content Turn 10 reused was from a current gen game LOL! Anyway regardless of all that I still had a great time with GT5 and I know it won't stop me from enjoying Forza 4. Race on!
Seems like while both GT5 and Forza 4 made improvements to their predecessors they each also suffer from a bit of de ja vu. GT5 for using some high res PS2 cars and tracks. Forza 4 for using a lot of the same cars and tracks from Forza 3. Despite that though both are great games for fans of the series.
I pretty much called this one LOL! I said just a little while ago that Forza 4 would more likely score in the 8.5 to 9.0 range as opposed to getting another 9.5 here on GS. Regardless it looks to be a great game just like GT5 was despite its lower than expected score.
