[QUOTE="MikeE21286"]they're bluffing, count on it.Not-A-Stalker

I think so too. I think they're just denying it because Sony probably wanted it to be their big surprise of E3. I still think they'll drop the price at E3 though.

I'm thinking a price drop for the holiday season would be more likely but it would be nice if it does happen at E3.

So yesterday my launch 360 started giving me the 3 red lights error repeatedly everytime I turned it on. This is the first problem my 360 has givin me btw. Anyway, I tried to start it up over 10 times before I gave up as it simply would not boot up to the dashboard. I checked all the wires like the manual says and everything was in order so I just assumed my 360 went defective on me. However, today for whatever reason I decided to try and start it up again to see what happens. To my suprise it worked on the first go as if nothing had ever happened. So my question is, is there life after the red ring of death or should I just send it in for repairs?

LOL. So today they announce this warranty extension and I think to myself great news I guess but I won't be needing it as I have had no problems with my launch 360. Wrong. Later on the very same day only hours after hearing the news I go to play my 360 but it gives me the rings of death... I guess a part of that 1 billion will be goin towards fixing my 360. But yeah, instead of being all angry about it, I actually think its quite funny that both would happen on same day like some kinda evil coincidence. Anyway I guess my Ps3 and Wii will be getting some extra attention for a little while.

[QUOTE="CAlNlAC"][QUOTE="Dualshockin"][QUOTE="CAlNlAC"]That may be true. Forza's damage model may not be 100% true to life but it is miles ahead of what the GT series has offered, which is none. -Renegade

So if it's not 100% true,then it's not a perfect simulator. It's that simple.

Yes thats correct. Its not a perfect simulator but at present it is more true to life than the GT series as Forza at least has a damage model and a fairly good one at that.

i don't get how you lemmings are trying to compare the next generation of forza to the gt series when we have yet to see the next generation of the gt series released on playstation yet.

First I'm not a lemming. Second, thats why I said Forza is more realistic at present cause no one knows what future GT's will bring.

How is the car damage realistic if the car can still drive after hitting a wall at over 100MPH? Can the tires even fall off?

I already said Forza is not 100% realistic as far as the damage modeling is concerned. I'm just saying its better than not having any at all. Thus Forza is more true to life than GT at present.

[QUOTE="CAlNlAC"][QUOTE="Dualshockin"][QUOTE="whoisryanmack"]You can attempt to finish, although you will be limping in last....or restart, which is the cheap way out, but i do it anyway!Dualshockin
I see... Well that settles it then,Forza 2 is not real life racing as some people claim it to be,I have yet to see a driver crash into a wall at over 100MPH and continue racing with the "broken" car,or decide after crashing to restart the race.

That may be true. Forza's damage model may not be 100% true to life but it is miles ahead of what the GT series has offered, which is none.

20 people per race with no damage means theres probably gonna be a lot of pushing and ramming going on cause theres no real consequences for doing so. This to me sounds like a bad thing. I honestly hope GT5 online wont be a game of bumper car racing..

Damage>No damage Although I'll still probably buy GT5 damage modeling or not. I'd just hope it will come with damage this time.

I don't really think the hardware failures have anything to do with the games. Most likely their console was always one of bad make and was slowly making its way to the 3-rings of death. So basicly whatever game they were playing at the time of failure they assume its the games fault, but I just don't think thats the case. Its just poor hardware.
