I remember days when game length wasn't ALL that mattered.

I can beat Max Payne in less than 5 hours, but that's one hell of a cool game. But nooo, since it's not 238 hours of gameplay it's crap according to today's logic.

Game length>Fun factor in today's gaming world apparently.

True but a longer game means more fun, as long as the game is fun to begin with. I don't mind games that have around 6-7 hours of single player gameplay, but only if there are extra modes like multiplayer or online. If a game only offers a single player mode I expect it to have at least 9-10 hours of gameplay. If it falls around 7-8 hours it's a little annoying but anything less than that means devs just don't give a crap. I saw that advert earlier today and was laughin' pretty much all the way through. lol

The Wii line up definately keeps getting better and better. There's so many great games coming out it's almost ridiclous. I have 9 Wii games at the moment and by early January I'll have another 6 or 7. I don't even have that many for my PS2 or XBOX and compared to the list of games I want for the PS3 and 360 when I get them (GTA IV, PGR 3 + 4) It makes me happy to be a Wii owner.

I want MX vs ATV, Nitro Bike, Mario Galaxy, Ghost Squad, Tony Hawk's, Smackdown vs Raw 2008 (which should be added to that list. It's out sometime in November) and maybe, Need For Speed. I'm getting Smackdown, Tony Hawk's and Mario Galaxy for Chrsitmas so hopefully I'll have enough money to get the other 3 or 4 around the same time or a little later. I seriously don't know why people are complaining about a lack of good (or hopefully good) Wii games. There's tonnes of great stuff comin' out. Hopefully 2008 will be even better.

I've ordered 2. They seem somewhat fallic shaped but they're free and will probably be pretty good can't wait till they arrive. The site worked fine for me but I was on the Nintendo-Europe site. Is it just the US site that's broken?

I bought it a little while before I got my Wii to make sure I had 2 controllers as soon as I got it. It made sense to get the game aswell as it's a pretty good deal. I hatesome of the games on it (especially find me) but I play Billiards quite a lot. I'm actually glad I got it.

The gamecube isn't dead. There are (I think) still games being released for it and the console lasted as long as the competition. I never saw the GC as a failure and I still don't. It's my favourite console from last gen as there are a lot of great games for it, the graphics are great, the design is unique and pretty cool. The Gamecube will never be dead as far as I'm concerned.

Gameplay > Graphics

As long as I can see what's going on in the game and I can seewhere I am, where I'm going, etc I don't mind how the graphics are. I always rate graphics on the artistic style and the overall atmosphere rather than the poly count, lighting, textures and stuff like that.

I said a couple of days ago that based on the hype of Halo 3, if it scores a 9.5 or lower it will be a flop. After reading the review from IGN it seems this game has flopped. All the hype centered around the whole "Finish The Fight" slogan, which obviously reffered to the Campaign/Story mode, a campaign mode that IGN have bashed for being too short and having an overall confusing story. Now if the selling point of the game is the and story (as far as the media hype goes), and the story pretty much sucks, then the game pretty much flops.

Another thing that was crticised was the graphics. They really don't show off the power of the 360 like Halo 1 and 2 did for the original XBOX. This looks just like Halo 2 in HD with some fancier effects.

Of course the rest of the game was rated decently when it comes to overall gameplay, multiplayer, extra content, etc but I think all the Fanboys will have to admit that this turned out to be another Halo 2.
