I am about to buy an X360. I have access to higfh speed internet for live (had live 2 yrs ago on xbox). I also have a monitor which I will be playing on, which supports 1280X1024 - 720P for you non-tech guys.

I am stuck on the game decision of Gears or Oblivion. One thing that should sway me is gear's online newbie-friendliness. Is it a complete slaughter house on there, or will it not take me long to be playing and having fun, or better yet, do people host newbie games?

I have about $350-400 to upgfrade my pc, with the likes of playing oblivion, vegas and maybe fear on meduim. My PC isn't all that strong, so if you could upgrade it with $400, what would you choose and would the end result play es4 oblivion nicely? And maybe some newer games on low? BTW, I'm playing at 1280X1024 Resolution.

I was thinking of buying a Gig of corsair valueram, $52, and a 8600GTS @ $200. Then an enermax 485W noisetaker II PSU for $90. with shipping this is $370. What do you think? Would my "after" specs play oblivion? What settings?

Do you ride a Yamaha DT? I'm running a KDX200, I think it's cool to see someone who rides on here, Riding consumes my life. Then games.
