@stm1185: The average black guy probably doesn't follow this clown nerd shit, and if he did, yes he would be fucking offended. Who wants to hear that shit from someone they thought was cool? Some of you dudes need to develop empathy instead of trying to reason shit away and blaming the victim or offended party. Part of the reason the world is going to shit today, and as the previous poster said, definitely part of the problem. Let you dudes tell it you never get offended by anything, except being called on being racist, being called on your bullshit, etc.
@dudebropartyyo: "but its their fault they chose to embrace the word for themselves and identify as the word" Well, how about you respect that and realize that its not your right to use it by extension? Its gonna be hard to offend a white dude by calling him a "honky" or a "cracker", quite easy to shrug that off, never was a time when white people were referred to a "crakeroids" or "honkyero's", etc. Typical, white man telling everyone else how to feel and think, instead of respecting that maybe just maybe you don't speak for everyone and don't have the experiences of every person...
@JSusie: Never heard a black person say "Nigger", thats a term strictly used by racist. If you can't hear the difference between the word they use, and that, you're either tone deaf or choose to ignore it in favor of using this argument to justify your own use of the word.
@Michael1571: Hit the nail on the head for me. I know its fantasy, but there was a bit of realism in this show/novels that I really enjoyed and this season is lacking. I could just turn a blind eye to it and use the usual "well its a fantasy story so anything goes" logic, but it definitely nags....
Kudos to this writer. He has quite a pair to take on the fanatical "GoT" TV show fans. I think the show appealed to different people for different reasons. If I don't think about it too much, the story is just fine.
