The more IR the better IMO.

Having said that, there is alot of potential when it comes to combining both the pointer and analogue. Lost winds and Pro Evo Soccer being great examples.

A shame but the fact is the Wii game was an afterthought.

The problem with many Wii devs is they go for motion control ...when they should be using the IR pointer.

A force powered game really should have used the pointer to aim at object and enemies and allow you to pick them up and throw them around (they should have looked at the likes of Mushroom Men/Boom Blox/Lost winds/defend your Castle and even the way you pick up Mii's in the Mii channel). Mushroom Men does force powers far better.

Only 100% increase to previous week-end where sales must have been very low because people waited for the price cut ? That's quite weak imo.Tykain
True. I mean if we say 360 usually sells 60k per week.... ....assume the leaked price cut news caused sales to drop to 40k the week before the cut happened... ...then sales doubled to 80k the week of the cut. Instead of 60k + 60k for 2 weeks sales...we have 40k + 80k. There may be no real increase at all.

Only a couple of games that I would buy from that list if they were on the Wii (and that would depend on them getting a good review).

I guess it's down to differing tastes. I'd pick Samba de Amigo Wii above all those games to be honest.

All Nintendo had to do was just show some of the games that are actually being made.

Fatal frame is finished...nothing shown

WarioLand is finished..it's at the show but not at the conference

Disaster Day of crisis...practically finished..just delayed to be improved..could easily have shown a new trailer

Captain Rainbow, mario sluggers..even a new Mario Party (as we know one will come this year)

3rd party wise they could have shown Madword,Little Kings story, Deadly creatures, Samba de Amigo...they could have announced Dead Rising....they could have asked Capcom for a new Monster Hunter trailer.

There's plenty of announced stuff they could have hyped even if they didn't reveal much new.

[QUOTE="m_machine024"]

RE5 co-op was amazing. Too bad they had to cut just before the chain saw guy.:(

Banjo looks alright.

Gow2 looks great.

The rest I don't really care.

Bread_or_Decide

Yeah RE5 is drool inducing.

You know I'm gonna miss playing with the wiimote since aiming RE4 on the Wii was such a cool experience.

Could still happen. Microsoft didn't show their motion controller but it's still coming IMO.

I'm wondering if they pulled the motion controller/software from the presentation due to Nintendo's announcement?

They didn't really announce much new other than the casual stuff and FF13. If not for that final announcement it would have been very uneventful.

Wasn't it "sold more 3rd party games in the US in the last 12 months than PS3 and Wii combined". They had to cherry pick very carefully.

And why didn't nintendo include this to begin with?munu9

The tech might not have been ready/may have been too costly at the time.

[QUOTE="MagnuzGuerra"]Oh no, another accessory? :?metroidfood

This is what I was thinking. I'd have really like them to do this as a new controller, or just released it with the Wii or its successor in the first place.

Not to mention that this seems to rule out any Nunchuk capabilities.

The problem with that is that it would make all current wiimotes useless. They want a low cost solution for current wii owners to upgrade to.....and it has a port for the nunchuk under that little white door at the back.
