A port of RE5 won't happen. Having said that I think it's amazingly stupid of Capcom to not have re-used and enhanced the GC RE4 engine to make a new game for the Wii. The tech is already there so they could have done a sequel pretty cheaply (and probabaly in quarter of the time RE5 has taken)...they could have re-used the supernatural story/art that was originally created for RE4 before it changed.
I find traditonal fighters pretty dull these days..few do anything new or different (I'm only interested in smash Bros due to the great amount of fan service).
The only way I would take interest in a fighter on Wii is if they tried something different like using the pointer to aim hits/kicks/grabs at various limbs/body parts ...or maybe incorporate some of the things done in Lost Winds to enhance jumps/ throw objects.
I think the genre is very stale in its current form and SFIV doesn't seem to do anything to change that. It has been done to death.
It will boost sales and likely be the best selling console version of the series..but some games simply do better on handhelds so I don't expect it to do as well as the PSP games in Japan...
.....on the flipside I think the Wii game could do wonders for the franchise in the west (much as Tales of symphonia on the Gamecube pushed the series forward in the western markets).
i have a bad feeling this game will get bannedrgame1
i doubt it. A) it isn't realistic b) the lead character is a good guy forced to do this to survive.
This isn't Manhunt..it's more like Mortal Kombat.
A jury should never be allowed to decide a case like this. Patents have so much twisted speak in them that it's impossible for your average person to know what the hell is going on. It should be decided by people who have specific knowledge of the subject. I also think their should be a 12 month limit for charges being filed.
Too many companies are filing patents which they never use, wait 5+ years and then sue when they think they can make a chunk of cash.
I think the thing is that Mario Galaxy innovated massively with its gravity based gameplay.....but at its core it's still a platformer and seen as part of the main series. One of the reasons why many were irritated by Mario Sunshine was because the water pack altered it from a platformer to a hovering and cleaning game. If Mario Sunshine had used a completely different character or had been marketed as a spin-off then it would have been accepted far more easily. The same is true of this Banjo game.
People expected Banjo to be platformer but it now seems to have turned into something different. That doesn't mean it's bad...it's just makes it seem like more of a spin-off game from the main series..which isn't what many wanted or expected.
One other thing is that people just don't see vehicles as devices for a platforming game...I suspect if instead of machines they allowed you to create various different creatures to ride/fly then this concept would be more easily accepted.
I think it's most devs treating Wii like trash that's the problem.
When a 40 mb Wiiware game like Lost Winds has better graphics and art than 90% of disc based Wii games, it just shows how little most bigs devs/publishers are trying.
[QUOTE="Meu2k7"]Castle defender game . cool.
I like how it says NA though, let me guess, EU 2009?
osan0
21st of may....2156 as far as i know :P.
nah seriously...i think its out in europe towards the end of the month.
Yep ..WiiWare is May 20th in Europe (although it's called "Wii Software" over here...how dull)
The Nintendo Channel is on May 30th.
ppl call this stunning when Ratchet and Viva Pinata look better....and what is up with all the jaggiesstereointegrity
I don't understand the love either. The screens are pretty bland, nothing that's overly impressive in the shots. I'd rate ratchet ,Viva, LBP and Mario Galaxy over it in terms of art and style.
Frankly even the new Spyro game is looking more impressive in screenshots.
