That should answer your question, but it also depends if your gonna overclock, both processors clock fairly close, and both can go up as high to 4.0ghz with proper equipment. Im building a computer for a friend i actually went with the e5200, just because the performance and price ratio is really nice. but it really depends if your overclocking or not, if not, the e7200.

For A.D.D people, the links above compares cache size.

[QUOTE="jmnderson69"]Damn man, I get the feeling you guys enjoy making others piss money down the drain.X360PS3AMD05
I agree, i tell people to get bang for the buck but most people here will tell them to blow their money on small performance gains.

God i hope your joking with small performance gains. You ready to be bombed by graphs and be called an idiot by me? Nah ill spare you it, As for the thread.

''I'm looking for a multitasking gaming monster. Able to at least freaking run photoshop with WMP and the net >.> Gaming with any game out now on ALL MAXED settings, with the proper monitor to max it out. YOUR JOB, should you choose to accept it, is to build sinty the best possible rig for the budget price.''

You can do that as others said for under 1k. Maybe.

The rig looks fine to be honest, my old 939 rig is still going strong and does everything i need to, but i still went i7. Depending on your motherboard i would upgrade to phenom 2 if it happends to be a decent cpu price/performance wise as well as maybe a new video card, I dont really know how good the 3850 was.

Kind of pointless to get the 940millerlight89
I wouldn't say that. Anyways, what x58 mobo? theres a few out there. Your gonna love it, i saw a noticeable diff from my q6600 and makes my old 939 rig look like a iphone.

im surprised no one said to try the 180.84 beta drivers for gta4 performance, makes the game alot more playable at some areas. Get cod:united offensive, and get in the happy penguin servers :D To be honest, most people preffer the 360 cause of its simplicity and not have to worry that down the road your gonna have to upgrade it. Well atleast thats why my friends are console gamers, but when they see my rig in action they cant hold themselfs but shove me out of my chair to play :D

[QUOTE="Carlos0068"][QUOTE="thefsmlol"] depends on what kind of detail distance and view distance u want to go, it should run nicely, mines running perfect, even though its a i7 rig. I turned up all the view distance and detail and it requires around 1.0gb+ of vram [QUOTE="skrat_01"]Actually wow, from reading the forums the game IS horribly optimsed. wow, just wow. People wonder why certain games are pirated en masse? No benchmarking tool, and system reqs that are misleading, and crap performance for even great hardware is a start, as is shoddy porting in general, and bugginess. And DRM is the icing on the cake. The crashes and drm of Mass Effect was horrible, and GTA IV seems to follow suit.zaigham_riaz
Such a massive post of fail. Where to start. How exactly is the game ''Horribly'' Optimized? Never knew a game that is made to push current hardware to the max is horribly optimized, I guess crysis is too huh. ''and crap performance for even great hardware is a start''? What? Im very happy getting 50fps on close to max settings with a decent view/detail distance. Once again massive fail post.

Because your personal experience means that he's wrong right? GTA4 is badly optimized and there's no way you can deny that. When you have a GTX 280 and can barely run it well on medium settings, that is bad optimization. Crysis is well optimized considering that most high end machines can max it out fine and that it has higher graphical fidelity. At least Crysis doesn't recommend a freaking quad-core or 4GB of RAM. At least Crytek didn't lie when they said that their game can scale back on old hardware fine.

It just so happends my personal experience contradicts everything he is saying. It might be badly optimized but both my rigs say otherwise, one is a med-high end and another is low-mid and they both run the game perfect. So how is that badly optimized? I find it even more funny when the badly optmized comment, the game does indeed take alot to max out, but if you have not noticed, the view/detail distance is what takes a bit to max.

Cause getting a quad core and 4gb is hard to do? That 170 Q6600 and 50 bucks for 4gb is a steep investment.

The game is running perfect on my rigs, the one in my sig (and no it wasnt my life savings for you console fanboys) and my old rig i had 2 months ago (3800x2 @ 2.8ghz, 2gb ram, 9800gtx). So i guess the game is badly optimized, damm that rockstar and their port, damm them

Anyways, ill post some more benchies when i get home and more better from my old rig.
