I want to play MGS1 again but I can not find it anywhere. I went to gamesuck and they have two different copies of MGS1 and both of them were so scratched that they would not play. Good luck finding it if you can.
I can not talk for other people but I really made me disappointed in Sony when they are not doing BC in the 40GB console. It seemed to me like a gigantic corporation trying to sell 80GB ps3 that were not selling by telling all the people with a ps2 that if they eventually want to get a ps3 and get rid of there ps2 like last time they are gonna have to get a ps3 now. I really think this decision of just having differnt ps3s in different boxes will end up in some mom going out to worst buy and getting a 40gb ps3 and then the kid trys to play god of war on the kids ps3 and it can not play the game. I do not see deceiving the customer like this as an ethical business practice. I personally like Sony more than Nintendo because nintendoz first party seems to me that they scare away third party developers. I also am tired of them coming up with crazy bs public relation statements like "ruble is last generation". I personally hate people that dont try any games and just join in on the bandwagon of hate.
I like surfing the web, free online, blue-ray built into it. Reliable hardware is a big plus for me. Going on to youtube is a cool feature but it did not Wow me. I got the collectors edition of Oblivion and I rather like it but I think I would be getting more out of getting sucked into Oblivion if I had a HDTV. I wish was disappointed at the lack of 40 dollar and under ps3 games. I was going around town looking for PS2 games that I wanted and I was surprised I could not find SotC or FF12 new. It rather disappointed me. I really like the free demos and using my ps3 for Folding@home. I had not been wowed by the PS3 games I have played like I was when I picked up a PS2 last time around. To sum it up, I am not wowed by the PS3 current games selection; I feel rather confident on the potential ability of the hardware; I just wish I could be seeing more of it today. I am happy with my purchase of my 60GB ps3. (On a side note rather hot air gets pushed out the back end of the ps3 so do not block the vents or you are really looking for trouble.)
For the people with the PS3 on a HD-TV. Do you notice the picture is sharper??? I got my ps3 plugged into a 42inch tube, but I am thinking about my 19in monitor just so I get a nice a crisp picture.
