See, I tend to look at a Mac as the OS and not the hardware. So when people saying "Ya I can game on my Mac by loading Windows" I cringe. I myself am not a fan of Apple, not because I prefer windows or microsoft but the whole ideaology that seems to follow most apple fans. But to me, the Mac OS is lacking the gaming capabilities that I need and even the tweaking ability that I require. Yes, EA games has said that they will make their games for the Mac OS also but how long till they jump ship? I mean come on, it's EA after all. Anyways, if you want a stable system with some great program out of the box then go with a Mac. If you enjoy building your own system, being able to tweak it any way you want, and withstand the possibility of system unstability then go with a Windows box.

Don't worry about it. Steam games are based on the account and not computer. So all you need to do is download steam, log in and the game will automatically start download and installing again on it's own. No need to worry about CD Keys.

The reason why DDR is more expensive than DDR2 is that DDR is an older technology that they are phasing out. Due to this, the need from customers is lower so they don't make as many. Due to this, they jack up the prices as they know that the people that need it will pay for it, it is an expense to them to keep supporting it, and that it will also force people to the newer standard.

I got the gamexstream version of this PSU and yes, it will work. The connectors aren't stuck together, there are just two of them incase you require two 4 pin connectors.

I searched the code and it brings up thishttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/886348 stating a driver issue. Best course of action is remove all unnessecary parts from your computer and see if the issue resolves. Also, the BSOD should have also listed a file name/process such as MOM.exe or ATIDriver.exe or something on those lines. That could be a very good help in tracking down exactly what is causing the problem. As for the memory possibly going south, you should try http://www.memtest86.com/. It is a very good program and usually finds errors if they exist in the memory.

Well, before my computer got trashed by a courier I used to send it to my new home and re-building it. I use to have an issue with Medieval 2: Total war, that it use to reset at random intervals when I went to the campain map. I too was stumped as I checked the power consumption, checked for virus, updated my drivers, cleaned my registry, etc and nothing. So I went to the "Help" forums and got told a lot of "It's your hardware, update your drivers" Told them I did and all I got was "Well it isn't the game, can't be the game, the game doesn't cause this problem for anyone." And then three other people posted similar problems.

Anyways, my point is, it could be a software issue. What are you usually doing before the system restarts? Have you ever considered that one of your memory sticks have headed south? Yes, your processor and chipset can start to fail and you can notice. Download a motherboard monitoring program and check to see if it is receiving enough power.

Do this and see if it can eliminate some of the possible issues.

Ok, I'm sick and tired of this bloody debate. I myself am partial towards ATI but for crying out loud they didn't give us what we wanted this time around. Yes, drivers can help but they aren't a miracle waiting to happen and won't bring these "Wonder" results. I find myself telling friends who are building a new system to either go with the 8800 GTS or if they are not caring about DX10 then the X1950XT Pro. What makes this even worse is the fact that you guys fight to the death over ATI vs nVidia or Intel vs AMD. Who cares? You shouldn't be pissed at ATI for anything. If you don't own the card then you shouldn't be pissed for any reason. ATI owes you nothing and the only people that should be pissed are the shareholders. Now why don't we all get along, stop slamming companies because their product isn't the top at the current moment, and just enjoy computers and PC gaming.

There should be a number on the bottom or back of your router.

Well first things first, update your drivers if they aren't already updated. As for the restarting, it is more like a blue screen but due to blue screens being turned off by defualt you don't see it. So best thing to do is to right-click my computer, select properties, select the advanced tab, under "start-up and recovery" select settings, and then uncheck automatically restart. Then after updating your drivers, play a game and see if it occurs again. If you get a blue screen, write down the error code so that we can see exactly what is causing it.
