I don't really get what you define as kiddy games but there are lots of games to be had if you simply Google. There are even more games than what Wii u got and Switch is only getting stronger.

I can't afford the latest iPhone but I am thinking of going with a refurbished iPhone 7 directly from apple. Does that sound like a good idea I can't really afford the latest phone but anything might be better than a data gobbling Android. Google seems to be trying harder and harder to be more invasive with user data

It s probably to ease the cost of servers. I don't know how many servers a company has and the cost of the machines. But if you have a player base over a million your internet bill is gonna be huge on top of other expenses (utilities, employee pay, manufacturing of games, distribution of goods and etc)

Possibly when the OS would lag from the past store or how frequently the controller battery would die.
