Oh well that was disappointing. The first like 5 seconds lead me to believe that he was going to jump across like 20 roof tops and use bonoculars to zero in on your enemies. But nope its just a small typical COD size map

VendettaRed07
Wait, you actually expected something better than that on your pathetic consoles? Laughable. The original Crysis had multiplayer maps that completely dwarfed Bad Company 2 in size and destroyed Crysis 2 in terms of graphical fidelity. So you console gamers ask for a franchise to be brought on to your consoles (a.k.a. be destroyed) and then complain about it not being anywhere near as good as the PC original? [QUOTE="shroofnayef"][QUOTE="Wanderer5"]

Looks okay. The graphics however are just amazing. This was the console version right?

That looked quite unimpressive graphically

It looked abysmal. Console gamers are delusional if they ever think they can get a game looking even remotely as good as the original Crysis. The PC version of Crysis 2 will also look terrible, and this is just proof that the consoles have caused a massive downgrade to the PC version. Far inferior graphics, tiny console map size, incredibly slow-paced noob-friendly gameplay and no proper modding ability are just a few of the huge downgrades that have occurred in Crysis 2. [QUOTE="Ondoval"]

EA just said that the beta will come this fall to 360. As one of the more than well over 2 million PC gamers that bought Crysis (not even counting Warhead sales), much more than Forza 3 or Alan Wake, I feel myself trolled:

http://ea.gamespress.com/release.asp?i=1419

No PC stuff? No keyboard + mouse gameplay? No PC beta this year? Ok, I'm done with this game, Crytek/EA guys.

Smart move. Don't let Crytek stab you in the back and get away with it. Crysis was a legendary game, Crysis Wars was slightly worse, and now Crysis 2 is a complete failure.

While it may be too soon to judge it would seem that the pictures shown have more tactical implications in mind for the multiplayer. Its not a bunch of marines fighting another bunch, but rather them moving together, covering different points, crouching and what not. As I said though, probably stretching the screenshots meaning a touch...designer-
Well, seeing as the groundbreaking Power Struggle game mode from the original Crysis seems to have been removed from Crysis 2 for console hardware-limitation reasons, the level of tactical play in Crysis 2 will be non-existent compared to the original. Team Instant Action and Crash Site Defense, sounds like Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill - no thanks.

Those new 'nanosuits' look absolutely abysmal. I am shocked and extremely disappointed but it seems that Crytek really have deserted their roots. I honestly can't believe how much worse those new nanosuits look compared to the original design - the only reason I could think that they would have been designed like that is that the art designer is overweight and his futile dreams of being a bodybuilder have transferred in to his work on the nanosuits' design. I thought that it couldn't get any worse with the new singleplayer nanosuit, but these multiplayer screenshots have shown me that it can always get worse at Crytek. It's laughable imagining a bulky, bodybuilder-type supersoldier using any agility, stealth, or speed. But it has already been shown in the gameplay trailers that Crysis 2's gameplay is going to be heavy and slow similar to Killzone 2, with no grace of movement or animations. I'm guessing that Crytek are trying to appeal to the generation of child and obese gamers with these new nanosuits that are clearly trying to show that any random obese person can be a hero.
Or that it at least let's you choose between aliens and nanospacemarines in multiplayer!Desmonic
No...just no. They're supposed to be nanosuits-enhanced soldiers, not 'nanospacemarines' - clearly you want Crysis 2 to be a complete Halo clone, perhaps to fill the gap on the PS3.
Crysis 2 is looking lamer and lamer.aaronmullan
It's already past the point of no return. It will be a failed console port with a complete emphasis on casual gamers who want to play a game which requires no skill.

None of those games deserved a 10 imo. Starcraft II is the same.aaronmullan
Exactly. Impossible for a game to be so good that it gets a perfect rating, even if it is now categorised as 'prime'. [QUOTE="SoraX64"][QUOTE="Shad0ki11"]

No game deserves a 10/10, including all the games that have recieved 10s.

I've never understood it when people say this. :? It's like saying you never deserve to get a 100 on a test in school because you got all the answers right... When a game is being reviewed, it's being tested to see how many questions it got right. Each category is like its own question on the test; Story, Graphics, Game Play, Sound, Fun Level. If a game has great story, great graphics, great game play, and is a lot of fun doesn't that mean it has answered all of the questions adequately? Hence the game deserves a 100 on its test, or a 10/10.

Oh right so there was nothing wrong with any of these games then? So Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4 and all the other 10 rated games have great multiplayer? After all, multiplayer is part of the 'test'. And Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a good story? If you call nonexistent garbage a good story, fine by me.

[QUOTE="lespaul1919"]

let's norrow down that PC exclusive list to some that actually matter.

STALKER CS crysis starcraft 2

Yes, good point actually. Now to contrast this let's narrow down that console exclusive list to the ones that actually matter: - - - - That's four less than PC gaming.

I like all platforms but consoles have better games overallHaLoMaStErJT
Completely false.

I like all platforms but consoles have more convenience overall. To get high end graphics you don't have to worry about the hardware requirements, you just put in the disk and play it.

HaLoMaStErJT
True - this is the only true argument against PC gaming. Cost and games are not valid arguments.

That's just weak.. Steam kills anything the consoles have to offer, nuff said.

Although I would agree, this is still a matter of personal choice.

PC has been out longer so it has its share of exclusives aswell.

Even if we only count them from the release of the 360 (which we do on SW), it still has a substantial list.

That's all anyone has been counting in this thread. PC gaming this generation beats all three consoles combined for quantity of high-rated (70+ on Metacritic) games. The original poster has been disproved and will not bother making claims in the future without evidence to back them up, so hopefully this thread was just a bad patch for him/her.

[QUOTE="CentricStorm"] Your claim that Starcraft 2 and Crysis are the only AAA PC exclusives this generation has been disproved, so there really is no need to try again - you have been owned a massive number of times in this thread. Although, because you are arrogantly ignoring the facts, I might as well disprove you some more: Empire: Total War. Disproved for a second time. Company of Heroes. Disproved for a third time. Anyone could keep listing, but there's no point because your argument has already been completely lost, and thanks to this thread everyone now knows that PC gaming actually decimates all the consoles.aia89
one scored 70 and the other 75. Metacritic says Hi again. btw I'm still waiting for your counter list.

Empire: Total War has a Metascore of 90 and Company of Heroes has a Metascore of 93. You resort to lying because you have been totally disproved in a thread - your post defines failure. As for my counter list...when did I need a counter list? I only needed to post one current generation AAA PC game to destroy your argument that Starcraft 2 and Crysis are the only AAA PC games this generation, and I did. Then, because you choose to ignore facts, I posted two more. Then you lied, and now what little credibility you had after you made your ridiculous arguments has been lost.

So i guess PC gaming won

Animal-Mother
It did. PC gaming beat all three consoles in a direct fight, and that's before taking in to account the fact that the review standards are higher on PC. That is how good it is - far beyond the consoles.

Out of the Park Baseball 2007. You have been disproved.
