@krystyla @Centurion95 Thats the thing. "We have to start somewhere" is what they said in the 20's and for just about every major prohibition this nation has tried. And don't get me wrong, I agree with you that we need to revamp the system, its just that total bans wont have any desirable effect and usually end up causing more problems.
@krystyla @Riddick123 @renerak @punksterdaddy I understand and while that would work theoretically well in a country where there are few guns to begin with that doesn't change the fact that if the ban were to go in affect tomorrow it would change the fact that a good chunk of the nation is armed and that the sheer number of weapons here is astronomical. The enforcement alone would cost millions and not to mention be about as effective as the ban on alcohol in the 20's or modern day pot and other drugs.
@udubdawgz I know right, a buddy of mine is a religious BF3 player, and seriously good at it. He went shooting at a range with some family and fired a shot gun in real life and ended up splitting his lip from the recoil slamming him in the face, never mind hitting anything near the target.
@krystyla @Riddick123 @renerak @punksterdaddy If it is in the US, right after the hypothetical gun ban there would still be tens of millions of guns physically in the country. Even a door to door search and raid by cops seizing firearms from people would only be about as effective as prohibition in getting the number down.
"Police haven't released details of the Navy Yard shootings, but it is possible that Alexis was a more accurate shooter because of the time he spent playing video games. That's an inconvenient fact that you don't often hear defenders of the games talk about."
Or, you know the fact that he was a former reservist who had some military training in him. Plus a shotgun is accurate because its shot spreads, the skill to hit something goes from lining up the shot properly to aiming in the general direction.
This reminded me of my childhood, all my friends pretending we were Jedi and Sith, running, jumping, and force pushing each other around the school playground. Truly those were good times. Come to think of it I'm pretty sure that schools today would have banned this.
@raddys2001 @nickpeck36 I saw a headline on NBC that said "GTA, fantasy becoming reality?" Followed by a clip of Trevor shooting up some people. And so the circus begins...
