Maybe not everyone has done it, but I've seen a lot of homophobic speech on here. I just want an answer. Thanks.

Do you guys hate gay guys?

These kinds of disclaimers are unnecessary. Don't preemptively yell at people for something they may or may not do.

In any case, I don't trust that the government is knowledgeable enough about the industry to take control of it, and it seems like a mess that they don't have the time to sort out given all the other things going on in our country that need to be fixed. In my mind, the responsibility falls on the retailers and the parents. All retailers have to do is keep M rated games behind the counter and card people that buy them and the problem goes away. Government intervention is unnecessary.

Just because I put exclamation marks doesn't neccesarily mean I'm yelling. It just means I think it's kind of a hot-button issue that needs a little bit of attention. All I'm saying, man.

It's a very interesting topic. But retailers have failed to prevent underage children from getting their hands on games they really shouldn't be playing at their age. I am a teenager, and I am concerned. I've read about the studies that CONFIRM a connection between juvenile violence and violent video games. However, this is only in CERTAIN cases, not all. One day, some messed up kid is going to shoot one of his buddies at school after playing a little too much GTA. These incidents HAVE HAPPENED BEFORE. Maybe not shooting, but more like stabbing and beating. The government needs to do something about this. Retailers have proved that they are not mature and honest enough to sell these type of games to the right type of people. The government deserves the right to take control of the industry now that developers have proved they are not mature enough to make a serious game for the serious type of people. That's another issue. Developers have gone mad with power. They basically have the right these days to make the most explicit video games ever. They constantly say they are trying to prevent messed up kids from playing these type of games, but they have failed. The entire gaming industry is focused on death and gruesome murder. I'm not saying we have to kill off the industry. BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE TO!!! We just need to make changes. I am not saying that we should all go to happy-go-lucky conformity games. We just need to make sure people are doing their jobs right. Right now, we need the government to step in.

THIS IS MY OPINION!!! PLEASE GIVE YOUR OPINION AND EXPLAIN!!! I DO NOT WANT MESSED UP, CHILDISH ANSWERS!!! THIS MESSAGE IS FOR MATURE GAMERS THAT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THIS TYPE OF SITUATION!!! THANK YOU.

I've been trying to get help for a while. There are just so many things that haunt my mind, like the question if homosexuals can be saved or what the unforgivable sin is. I need your help, guys. I need some serious help. Thanks.

[QUOTE="Archangel3371"]Well I haven't heard anything mentioned about video games yet myself. I'd say the most likely culprit of all this is all the fearmongering and hateful rhetoric that permeats U.S. politics and the media these days. Some of the crazy things that spew forth from people like Glenn Beck and Fox News is simply obscene.Archangel3371

Just so you know, Fox News reported that the shooter made anti-government rantings on YouTube and tried to join an anti-government extremist group. I didn't hear anybody on Fox trying to take a political side on this. Then again, I don't watch the news too much. The media is stupid these days, especially MSNBC, and some people on Fox News.

Yeah I didn't mean to single out one side or one network, they were just who immediately sprung to mind because I tend to see or hear about them the most.

Oh ok.

Just so you know (again), I am an average citizen. I'm not anti-government or anti-religion or anything like that.

My Funny Moments (Below)

1. Making Daddles Kill Himself in Chapter One

2. Seeing the Un-Ted for the first time

3. Watching all the Army Bears go insane in Chapter Three

4. Having an Army Bear chase me and step on a landmine (and being satisfied after kicking him in the crotch and watching him explode)

5. Dragging Giggles out ofaboat and crushing his neck (you can do that to any bear)

What about you guys?

Are you saying you let the fact you were diagnosed with a mental illness get to you and therefore you ended up trying to commit suicide? You don't have to answer, since I assume its something personal.

ii_shugo_ii

I didn't find out until AFTER I attempted suicide. I kept all my thoughts to myself before the attempt.
