Right, the things I said have no correlation...Come on now, you can't deny that Halo 3 is getting massive exposure, linking it to the fact it will be huge. Something that is for sure going to be huge deserves attention from people in the field, ie: the gamers. A gamer that isn't interested in the upcoming big things is either not a gamer, or selective and blind to certain games. Ergo, if you aren't excited about the potential hugeness of Halo 3, then you probably don't care very much about games.

I can't say this from a totally unbiased perspective, as I AM one of the ones excited about the upcoming Halo 3, but you'd have to be employing some extremely flawed logic to deduce that showing a lack of interest in Halo 3 translates to not being a gamer.
It's not like Halo 3 is going to have some massive impact on the gaming community as you're saying. It's a pop-culture icon, and it's only natural that there's alot of media coverage around it, but media coverage is going to have NO impact on the future of gaming. I don't understand why the hell you think it will.
Plus, who the hell says one has to be interested in that impact even if it DID exist in order to be a gamer?

I am saying that. Wasn't that obvious? Have you guys become so jaded that you take everything everyone says as fact? Wasn't it obvious that what I wrote was opinion? Haha. A statement from the OP's mouth is his statement, and most of the time, no one elses.
That being said, I still believe that since it's obvious Halo 3 will have a big impact, it's enough to make that warrent interest. If someone isn't interested in something so huge, you have to stop and ask "why not"? If you knew that the Godfather part 4 was coming out, with people resurrected from the dead to play the same characters! and all that jazz, you'd say, "damn, that sounds epic. I don't like movies, but I know that might be a huge event."
Point is, when something comes along that should have everyone turning their head, and they don't, you question it. Most of the time, the people simply aren't interested in that genre, and that is totally ok. But sometimes, the play like they are, and are secretly just bashing the product, nonetheless. Industry warriors.
