I really do. I never got to play CNC or Red Alert. Well, a little Red Alert. I wants it all. The possibility of playing all the CNC games on Windows XP down here is really awesome.

In the meantime, I cite that song in celebration of my soon-to-be arriving purchase combo- Athlon 64 3200+ with a Venice core, ULi motherboard(I hope it works right and the processor isn't DOA) And 512MB of DDR 400 PC3200 RAM. B!tch.
Hopefully this'll make my PC future proof.

I'm headed for a few surprises.
First I don't know what I'll buy for this month. I think I want to get FEAR and Quake 4, but Dawn of War: Winter Assault looks pretty cool. (What I really want to see is DoW 2, but they're busy making a Warhammer RTS now.)
That and the fact that I only have  8 gigs of memory left on my Hard drive, so I'm going to have to get a new one soon. Problem is, the motherboard I want to buy has only one SATA cable so I don't know if my ability to plug in extra hard drives is going to be hampered.
Hell, I've never even plugged in a hard drive before, though I have taken one out. Thing is, I'm pretty sure the RAID configuration is the most useful and safest configuration so hopefully I can figure out how to do it- if my HD can support it.
I don't know jack about setting up a RAID, much less how to link hard drives.

Here's some more stuff for you to chew on: Miyamoto's saying that the Rev will have a conventional controller as well to keep in the good graces of regular gamers.
There goes another innovation. You know that as soon as the Rev gets a standard controller, Big N's going to keep touting the rev's new concept as super-cool but developers won't make games with it in mind. So we'll end up seeing this damn controller and its new approach to gaming go flop like GBA connectivity. Goody.

Just saw something on www.tomshardware.com. An SLi motherboard that can sync FOUR graphics cards at once.
WHY?
Goddammit, technology is advancing faster than I can get the money to buy it. I'm hearing about BTX formatted motherboards bound to replace ATX mobos in the future, AMD Athlon M processors, Dell's talking baout four-core processors, and GS said Nvidia's series 8 is due out next year. This is stupid. As soon as I goddam upgrades it'll be obsolete again. Pricks.

I find that pretty interesting. I've never watched a single episode of Red vs Blue, but apparently the guys doing that have also cranked out theit own spinoff of FEAR, called PANICS. Looks interesting.

w00t. OK, so here's the lowdown.

My interest in COH is steadily declining- I've been hooked on Warhammer and the FEAR demo for far too long. The Starship Troopers demo is okay, if only because some of the weapons are fantastical.
I need to increase the amount of memory on my PC, though. FEAR lags like HELL, because apparently my GeIL RAM is measuring out at only 511MB instead of 512. I don't know how to get it up to 512 again. Then again, I've heard that my RAM doesn't take kindly to OCing but I hope that is just one instanced report and not a generality.
I want to get 3 different games this month- FEAR, CoV, and either DoW Winter Assault or.. some game I can't remember.
Quake IV! Yeah, that's it. Or maybe I should just wait until the X360 comes out, you know.... get me some down time to save cash and get that Gamespot employee slot.

Alll better. Except for the damn adverts, anyway.
