@Smokescreened84 @Chrisf7 Men were victims in LA Noire as well. Harlots in Red Dead Redemption is historically correct. Is history sexist!?

@Smokescreened84 @Prats1993 @wcwj26 Hispanic? have they changed Trevor. I think you'll find he's 'white trailer trash'. "Perfect white man". A guy who doesn't get along with his family and is a criminal?

@Smokescreened84 @Chrisf7 You say Rockstar have always been sexist, but in LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption I can not think of a single bit within (there I go again, I need to read a thesaurus) that could be deemed as sexist.

@Prats1993 @Smokescreened84 @wcwj26 Like Brucie in GTA IV, does he show men in a good light, no. Was he fun to watch though, yes.

@Smokescreened84 I can understand the fact that you feel female characters are portrayed in a negative way. However, it isn't just Rockstar, most games do. In the Rockstar titles I have played, such as Red Dead Redemption, there are harlots within the game. This was how it was during that period in time though. There were still strong female characters within the game, such as Bonnie MacFarlane.

As for more female leads, there aren't as many female leads, but there aren't as many female gamers.

I feel the same as you in terms of, I am a male, and I enjoy playing as characters that are male as opposed to female. It doesn't mean I would ever refuse it if the game seemed like a decent game. I thought the new Tomb Raider game looked good, so I bought it, and it' not a bad game. Would I enjoy it more if the main character was male, possibly.

I'm surprised you have read so much into GTA being backwards. It's supposed to be a bit edgy, a bit mental, that's what the fans of the game want, that's what they enjoy about it, within reason (Saints Row 3! Seriously WTF!?)

If someone within this chat would have come out with the comment of, I'm not playing that game because the lead is female, I think you would be the first to point out, and rightly so, that they are being sexist. Yet you say you won't play games with a male lead, are you sexist then?

That is a question, and that's all it is by the way. In no way am I accusing you of anything, I can see why you would get defensive over your initial comment, with so many people replying to things you have said.

(Is it just me or did I say 'within' a lot!?)
