I think we all just need a hug, who's first?

My personal favorite is The Dark Overlord of the Universe from Howard the Duck.
This is of course in this true form after he is released from jennings. I feel that the old stop motion they used and the texture of his puppet added a sort of creepy realism that CGI can't seem to recreate, at least not yet. Also all of the camera angles they capture him in makes him appear as if hes at the end of a very long tunnel and the moment he says "there is no escape" I feel as if hes going to come get me. Adding to his look all the creepy twitching hook arms pulsating back and forth adds a sort of arachnophobic style that makes me feel as if hes crawling up my skin.
What is your favorite movie monster?
Life isn't merely the production of a legacy, survival is indeed a means for an end but the fruition of our existence isn't necessarily only taking place in our advancement of the race. It is the experiences we go through as both individuals and a people which are ends which we seek for enjoyment, our lives are limited for the purpose of increasing the quality of which we endure and perceive, we struggle for immortality but this effort being our only drive for existence is ludicrous. Legacy and the continuation of our race is merely there to give the experience of existence to future generations so that they may continue the everlasting play of life. I myself choose to act in the play and to dance about in the role I chose, instead of watching from the audience trying to understand the meaning of their characters.
"You cannot measure a man's existence based upon his life's achievements, but instead upon his ability to be content with what he has."
Preferably something painful but meaningful, since it will be my last moment alive I would wish to feel a certain intense emotional and physical response that would be of a higher caliber than anything I've felt before, it doesn't necessarily need to be a pleasurable death.
IE: I remember hearing a story about some monks in tibet that would sit in a certain position and set themselves aflame as a way to protest against a certain wrong, they would sit there motionless and absorb the full brunt of the flames upon their skin, they could do so through an entire lifetime of mental training. To have a clarity and conviction that powerful seems like something to die for, but alas I have no such training, but still is a interesting way to die. To be a martyar-
I see many people are choosing something far more peaceful, but to simply fade away into nihility is an end that never suited my tastes.
Oh well, you know what they say! The world won't end with a bang, but with a whimper.
This is a list of mythological creatures which I've typed into existence.
From top to bottom, it's weakest to strongest.
#1, Wizlenym: (Wizlenyms): A tiny creature which is normally no larger than a mouse. Similar to the iguana, it has fully adjustable eyes on its round and burley head, which entwine has the ability to spin 360 degrees in any direction without fail. Considering its short and stubby human-like appendages this creature is quite nimble and is quicker than most vermin of its size, in fact it moves more like a primate while still having the jittery sprints of a rat. Laced with a very long and thick double coating of fur, it is able to stay warm despite any climate, and during hotter temperatures it mellows down to prevent overheating. These creatures normally don't like to be bothered and travel in packs of a hundred or more normally, and considering they are voracious carnivores they will take down larger opponents and eat them if threatened, they are normally referred to as the Land Piranha! Their normally habitats are in dense forests but can range to any number of climates, so long as there is a tree to burrow into, you will most likely find a Wizlenym nest.
#2, Qwom (Plural: Qwoms): A Qwom is a type of frog mixed with a bird! A fat bulgy body and short but very wide beak makes this creature normally seems quite humble or even comical at first, but be warned, this creature is quite nefarious considering its reputation to lure humans and small animals in by making itself seem like a tasty treat. In its normal size the Qwom is no larger than a average dog, but at a moment's notice it can rapidly expand its own body and extend its sharpened feathers in all directions like a blowfish, but this is only a method of making room for eating. The Qwom has a tongue similar to a frog's, when it expands it normally reaches out with its monstrous licker and pulls in the closest thing that moves, they've been known to eat children from time to time because of this. When it comes time to fly, the Qwom can produce a lighter than air gas from several unusual glands in its body and can literally inflate itself to the point where flying using its tiny wings becomes considerably easy, it becomes a living blimp!
#3, Hollis (Plural: Hollisti): A Hollis is a transparent dog like ethereal being; its molecules are in a constant state of flux between two dimensions which results in a phase shift. These are some of the more feared creatures because of their ravenous nature and otherworldly style, skinless and viewable organs along with an unsightly exoskeleton make them even more terrifying to even imagine. Razor sharp but normally twisted fangs protrude from their mouths at odd intervals, making them appear even malformed at times. Their movements appear skittish, as if they were jittering or even vibrating like a rattle, but these twitches are the result of their molecules coming in and out of dimensional rifts which accelerates them rapidly for very small fractions of time. Yet the most notable thing about this creature is its reputation as a near infinitely persistent hunter, these hounds have been known to hunt a target for up to several years around the world until they finally sink their rigid teeth into their victims, and because of their phase shift their life spans are longer than most humans.
#4, Nihilanaut(Plural: Nihilanauts): Due to these beasts near unstable nature and stunning intellect, they have become the alphas of guerilla warfare. Bulky torso and tremendous forearms, segmented skin plates of regenerating bio-armor, and a large patch of crimson fur across the back, make this monstrous creature appear like a terrifying foe, but the truth is far more incredible, they are in fact pacifists! Their three fingered hands act like battering rams when the bones are fully aligned; a piston protrudes from the elbow and pulsates back and forth for better force. Yet this gorilla like creature merely uses its appendages for construction purposes, such as crushing stones or moving large objects, it only fights back when threatened which is rare considering their appearance. The only noticeable feature that emphasizes their peaceful nature are their pug-like faces which are normally riddled with wrinkles but portray a humble expression. They normally live in mountains and make small caves into beautifully elaborate homes by using a form of ancient masonry.
#5, Slithec(Plural: Slithecues): A Slithec is an amphibious snake creature with astonishingly movement abilities. Reaching to lengths of roughly 15 cubits in length, and acquiring an average mass of 400 pounds, they've been known to devour fully grown men whole. Yet these creatures normally feed on large groups of smaller prey, and they do so using a very special ability. This snake acts like a living conductor, and with a bio-generator encased around its heart it has the ability to send lethal doses of electricity into the surrounding waters. All of its internal organs are encased within a resistant material which makes it immune to its electric field, but other fish in the area are normally fried within the currents. Its head is normally flat and very wide at first, but when it comes time to feed it can unhinged its jaw and expand its mouth to several times larger than before, the access water intake is pushed out the back through a jet/filter which gives it an extra burst of speed while giving it a suction ability!
You wake up on a beach of black sand; it is but a slither of land surrounded by an ocean of mercury.
The air is thin, so thin in fact that it exhausts you to the point of a faint delirium.
The sky is blank and featureless, an abyss of obsidian and does little to comfort you.
The only light which you can speak of are countless specks of light which twirl about in an erratic but fluid movement, they are of abundance and span the horizon towards infinity.
As you look around you see but one figure, he stands upon a small but long boat. He wears a white robe but has no face; in his hands is a long wooden poll which he plunges into the mercury. He waits at a small port at the foot of the island and watches you patiently.
Where are you, who is he?
Bonus Riddle: I am you possible past, I am like you in many ways but not those which matter, and in my strength you have come to fear me, what am I?
