17 minutes of Michael Bay inspired marketing. It's hard to suspend disbelief when I see an attack chopper prioritize infantry over a possible threat that's already in the air, or cutting off a dude's leg without at least tying a tourniquet, and don't even get me started on that last slow-mo bit. There are better and more creative ways to create tension.
It's too early to tell, but judging from what I've seen, I doubt this will end up being any better than BF 3's campaign.
Thank god for multiplayer, and it DOES look extremely pretty.
Whoa whoa whoa HOLD UP. You can ADS in this game??! I played Republic Commando way back when and never aimed down my blaster's sights unless it was a sniper scope.
Currently trying to beat The Witcher 2 on Insane...got about a third of the way through chapter 1 when an endrega queen one shotted me in the back. But instead of feeling deflated I'm more determined than ever to see it all through. Taking things slow really helped me appreciate the world CDProjekt Red created.
So it's kinda like an fps version of the original Guild Wars? A world full of hub areas where players can interact, a heavily instanced overworld plus a little bit of Journey social elemetns mixed in there.
I remember The Longest Journey and Dreamfall as those games developed by that guy with an awesome name :D. Best of luck to you guys at Red Thread Games.
