it's a stance...not an argument. i'm asking if people are truly bothered by this.
CaseyWegner
It's an argument that never ends;
Im sure you've figured out by now that people won't like the government spying them on a whim.
People with strong american values would definitely not appreciate this.
Your stance is a joke, yes people are obviously bothered by this.
Look up the Snowden case, his leaked documents show a plan to turn america into a surveillance state, and there was a massive backlash against the american government because of that. So obviously people care.
TL;DR Weak argument, thinly veiled as a "stance".
i'm not for or against it. i don't care. it's a perfectly valid stance and in no way an argument. do people really care or are mountains being made out of molehills?
>I DONT CARE BUT ILL KEEP POSTING ANYWAY LULZ GUYS
So then what are you even doing here if you're not going to contribute anything? You're just a waste of bandwidth, no more better than the shills that spam advertisement everywhere. You don't care? Okay fair enough. . While theres no official statistic, you can be sure that yes, a lot of aren't hypnotized gerbils.

[QUOTE="stizzal13"] Honestly, I am not really bothered at all, although I feel like I should be. I guess the fact that I have nothing to hide makes me not care if the gov't is watching me play games and stuff.CaseyWegner
It's because of people like you is why people like Snowden are being ostracized and charged with espionage while the government slowly posts cameras at every block because "ITS NOT LIKE I HAVE ANYTHING TO HIDE, ITS NOT LIKE ITS VIOLATING MY RIGHTS AND THE AMENDMENT OF MY FOREFATHERS". Do you really want america to slowly turn into a surveillance state?

surely you could add something more than that.
CaseyWegner
I could say the same to you, your argument hinges on the fact that you don't seem to care. Which is not a strong argument, at all.

I don't know, do you mind the government stripping you of your privacy?

Xbone is a failure buh buh muh kinect :lol:heeweesRus
This is actually a failure of massive proportions.
First I thought, it was just weaker hardware but the games would redeem it.
Then it was mandatory kinect.
Then it was no indie support.
Then now it's violating privacy and constitution.
Only MS under Ballmer could this have happened.
Microsoft is now BEGGING the Obama administration to finally let them disclose what is going on with NSA.
http://allthingsd.com/20130716/microsoft-asks-attorney-general-to-intervene-in-request-to-disclose-prism-info/
They're scared sh*tless that this is going to kill not just the Xbox One, but what little worth their brand name still is worth.
Reminder: The Guardian revealed a few days ago that Microsoft is fully cooperating with the NSA, allows full access to encrypted emails and messages, and lets governments around the world spy on Skype calls and video without even a court order.
Microsoft has also been caught lying, claiming that this cannot happen just last year.
Now the Xbox One is being slammed hard for its always-on Kinect and mic, potentially letting the US government spy on everyone's houses at all times with no court order - a direct violation of the 4th amendment according to the ACLU.
