@fomalhaut2: I bought BattleFront II, because at the end of the day, what choice was there if you wanted a new Star Wars game? Sure, I could have bought the 13 year old version on Steam, but reading the Steam forums, that game has issues right now too ...and it's not aged that well. Battlefront II has MAJOR problems. The progression system is horrid, the balance is screwed, I'm pretty sure they've cancelled the future content, and I had to roll my GPU drivers back to an outdated version just to keep the game from crashing. But it's not like I'm swimming in choices for quality Star Wars games.
Everyone is bashing the reviewers, but every GameFAQs thread about this movie is filled with posts about how much it sucked. So it's not just paid reviewers who didn't like it.
@thelostscribe: What they did with The Taken King was shocking, it's even more shocking that people didn't rise up against it. It was either pay Bungie $40 or get 80% of your game locked out. It was more an extortion fee than a DLC. I guess by that point it was only the die hard players left who were willing to pay Bungie whatever they had to. But Bungie is WAY worse than Dice's loot crates. Battlefront was never going to lock out the cards you already earned. But Bungie sure as hell would have, and then they would have had you grind for new cards that are the exact same but a different color.

Yates knows the score, he knows Depp did it. But Yates is a company yes-man. That's exactly why he's the franchises go-to director. He's exactly the kind of guy that allowed Weinstein to exist in Hollywood for so long.
