@GunEye @Conscrumptured Haha, it's true. The Souls game hasn't ever really had much story, but I've forgiven that because of its depth regarding the lore and everything else. I'd of course love an actual story, but if they exchanged that and gave it easier gameplay elements then I would much rather have the challenge of the game than a quality story, to be honest.
If they give you both, though, then of course I'd be much happier. I guess we'll see, ha.
@GunEye @Conscrumptured Agreed. It makes me hopeful that they mention it so much, but I'm also skeptical. We'll just see when it comes out. There's not a chance I'll be preordering it for the PC, in any case. XD
@GunEye I just wanted to add how much I agree with the characters in Demon's Souls being more captivating than Dark Souls. I loved everyone in Dark Souls as well, but their histories when you learn them and talk to them just didn't interest me as much as when I originally played Demon's Souls. I didn't find myself caring as much for them.
That's not to say I didn't care at all, of course. I still did. Just not as much as Demon's Souls. It's worth anyone's time who's played the series or any game like it--which, honestly, isn't much.
@Falzonn @kelt321 That's what I've noticed about a lot of people talking about Demon's Souls after they've already played Dark Souls, is that it wasn't nearly as good. Which they're completely entitled to feel that way, but I'm just glad I played Demon's Souls back when it originally came out and have enjoyed the series ongoing as it has. It's like they go back and compare the two as they exist now, which isn't ever very smart. They should enjoy it as a standalone title for one, but even the rest.
Yeah, I still prefer Demon's Souls more but that's probably just because it was what I fell in love with from the start. It's still nothing worth comparing Dark Souls. They're just two of their own and both very worth playing in my opinion.
@jimdove2 @Darkhol0w I couldn't agree more. Thankfully, they've said on numerous occasions that they'll be offering a quality product for the PC. They admitted their awful porting of "Dark Souls" so hopefully they've realized their mistake and are willing to offer a little bit of a better finished product.
I finally got around to playing it. Not the greatest piece of content, but definitely worth more than a 5. But to each their own.
I agree that $15 for the short DLC is preposterous, but I purchased the season pass at a discounted price of $10 so I feel happy being able to play them both for cheaper.
