Socom 3
by ControllerFreek on Comments
Just preordered SOCOM 3 the other day, and I must say that I cannot wait for the game to come out. It looks to be awesome with 32 players per game. Hopefully lag won't kick in, though EGM said 24 players contained no lag. Even 24 is enough players for me.
This could be my game

Just like that, the battlefield 2 review is up, and I am floored by what Gamespot claims it offers. The number of players and options makes it a game that I could need this summer, since it is filled with cool new things to do. The squad break-ups seem amazing, and their description is awesome.
5 Reasons to see Batman Begins
by ControllerFreek on Comments
If you have a pulse, you have got to see this summer blockbuster hit. Here is why:
1. The acting is top notch with performances by Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Michael Paine, and Christian Bale as the Dark Knight himself. The characters have life in this movie!
2. You do not have to be a Batman freak to like this movie! I didn't even know there was a villain named the Scarecrow and I still had a blast!
3. There is huge plot development. You actually get to know Bruce Wayne and the characters in his tale, which further intensifies the life or death action sequences.
4. The movie actually plays heavily on Batman's best "superpower", fear. The action scenes are for the most part a nice blend of stealthy scare tactics and good ol' fisticuffs. The Bat actually uses moves to the best of his ability, and his many suit abilities are put to good use to scare the pants off his foes.
5. The action scenes rock. Even towards the end when they become filled to the brim with constant explosions and lots of movement. The new batmobile is probably the coolest vehicle around, and some of the bat gadgets are nothing short of awesome.
There you have it, enjoy the film.

The White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan

I was wondering if anybody has purchased the new cd from White Stripes. I want to know if it is worth buying.
Better than FF RPG
by ControllerFreek on Comments
I recently purchased Star Ocean Till the End of Time, and I have to say, it may be the best RPG I have ever played!!!! I really don't like the I hit you, now you hit me, theory on rpgs, so I love the real time combat. The only thing stupid about the game are som annoying voice-overs. Other than that, it is fresh.
Sony Tournaments
by ControllerFreek on Comments
If anybody would like to be a part of some online ps2 tournaments, please comment on this post. There will be three tournaments held, a socom II one, a killzone one, and a ratchet and clank one. There are plenty of positions not taken yet.
Revenge of The Sith

While the movie felt rushed, there is no denying that it was a well spent 10 dollars and two and a half hours. The same can not be said for the last two. Lucas did what he knows how to do, make awesome action sequences. This alone helps the viewer get over the wooden acting of Hayden Christiansen and majority of the cast. To seal the deal, the flik does a mighty fine job of selling the fact the anakin is evil, and it is because of that that I loved the movie. Probably my second favorite behind Return of the Jedi.
Nintendo Press Conference
by ControllerFreek on Comments
It was an awful night for Nintendo, as, in my opinion, the Press Conference was terrible. Everything was going great until they finally started unveiling the "new stuff". The only certain thing was the Gameboy Micro, which is a small game boy advance essentially. Way to innovate Nintendo... The next thing which was not shown correctly was the revolution, which looked like a shiny black dvd case. While I don't such mind the fact that it is incredibly small and boring to look at, I did mind many other things. For one, the only real tech demo for the revolution was Metroid Prime 3, and it looked remarkably similar to the Gamecube graphics capabilities. Mistake number 1. Then, the Reggie-Films-Aime and crew discussed things that may happen. They said that the innovation aspect should appeal to developers and the ease and cheapness should appeal. But the worst aspect of the revolution was the online play. Goody, online play. Reggie was right, they are re-inventing the online world, but only by having the suckiest online supporters run the thing, Gamespy. It will reinvent in that it will suck! If anybody has access to a gamespy arcade account, they know what I am saying. The rest of the show was them showcasing the latest mario sports ripoffs. No actual Mario adventure, just Mario Party 7, Mario Baseball, Mario Strikers, and Mario DDR. I distinctly remember the boys at nintendo talking about innovation. The only good thing was getting more info and footage on the new zelda, which constituted the last fifteen minutes. I am sorry Nintendo, but if you want to survive in this world by innovating, you should probably get both solid evidence of this and actually start innovating!!!!!
