Well this. Killzone 3 has great particle effects but it doesn't take it out on the performance, texture detail and AA like Gears 3. And the lightning is pretty decent also.

Killzone 3 has low resolution particle effects. The performance shouldn't be bad at all. lolNeither Uncharted 2 or Gears 3 have dynamic texturing. Only one game this gen does that. It's called RAGE.

It's not like Xbox 360 can't do MLAA. It's inCostume Quest on XBLA. They just can't afford it. The AA used in Uncharted 3 is not good either. It's actually worse than 2XMSAA.

It has some of the best particle effects. And no the performance is top notch. Very rare and tiny framedrops and no tearing. I didn't say dynamic texturing I said detailed textures. Whereas Uncharted 2 has really detailed textures Gears 3's textures are pretty much a big pixel. Well the 360 doesn't have enough juice in it to utilize MLAA unless it's real poor graphics games. Gears 3 would have to sacrifice alot to use MLAA. That's why they didn't use it, cause there wasn't enough juice left, they couldn't even get the much lighter FXAA. But yeah from what I saw in the beta U3 had terrible AA. But that's just the beta.

Killzone 3 doesn't drop to 26 despite having alot of action on screen and great particle effects. And it also doesn't have to cut AA and texture quality.

Where does Gears 3 give up texture quality, because it dumps all over the first 2 and increase it's quality of filtering quite a bit. On top of that KZ3 does drop frames, although not very often like Gears 3. You make Gears out to be Crysis 2 in it's dropped frames and that is simply not even the case.

Like when there textures are pretty much just a big pixel. I know KZ3 dropps frames I noticed it myself but it's really really rare and tiny drops. Gears 3 does it more. Nah nothing is as bad as Crysis 2

I also hope they don't screw up the PS3 version, now now before anyone freaks out I know that 90% of multiplats are the same, despite the invisble differences that the fanboys like to fight about (dumbest arguments in SW IMO). But Fallout 3 (at launch) was pretty messy on PS3, it froze and had framerate issues and it had zero trophies. Thankfully Bethesda patched it and Fallout 3 works perfeclty fine on PS3 now, but the launch was pretty buggy.

I just hope Bethesda doesn't make the same mistake as before...

  • Developer's recent games. Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 were terrible.
  • Awful UI and menus, those menus dont look practical at all.
  • Melee combat that is composed of rubbing your weapon on the enemy. Till one of you falls.
  • Level scaling making exploration pointless.
  • No custom spells.
  • Still a boring looking spellcasting system. Dual wielding spells, seriously?
  • Terrible roleplaying mechanics. No attributes for starters.
  • Most likely, terrible story (going by recent Bethesda offerings)
  • Bugs (again going by Bethesda history)
  • Horrendous enemy AI.
  • The fact that Bethesda has only shown the same part over and over again. Hmm, I wonder why.

How you gonna play Demon's Souls and Dark Souls without a PS3?

Yes it's very true. We have two parties in the parliament, one called the Left Party and the other Sweden Democrats. Both are not very far from Nazism.

3.) Uncharted 1 had framerate drops and screen tearing... And it still looked better than Gears 1. Same rule applies here. But if you judge graphics on performance than you would also blindly say that Forza 3 looks better than GT5. Since that gamehadcrazy framerate drops and copious amounts of tearing.

4.) MLAA is not a cheap solution. Uncharted 3 is actually using a crappy version of it compared to God of War 3 and Killzone 3.

5.) Textures in UC2 load just as slow as Gears 3. Try playing a MP game. Uncharted 2 uses recorded cutscenes to mask texture loading.

6.) If Uncharted2 and Killzone 3 lighting, shadows, and motion blur are not as good Gears 3... How is it supposed to look better? Nevermind the increased texture resolution quality and filtering in Gears 3. Also the heavy amounts of high res alphas on display without going sub HD like Resistance 3 to pull it off.
